Harry
"S-so what's gonna happen to my vision? My family? My career?" I choked out and the doctor just shrugged. "I'm sorry, Harry. We've done all we can. It was gonna happen eventually, you know. You've been told this since the day you were born. You're partially blind now which is still good but in the next few months or so..things could turn for the worst." I sighed and sat down in the chair across from her. "There's nothing we can do? Laser eye surgery? Nothing? Money isn't an option as you know, doc." She giggled and nodded. "I know, Harry. I know. But there's nothing left to be done. We've tried all we could. All you need is a good support system and you'll be good. Keep your head up, kid." She said and ruffled my hair as if I were a kid again. "It'll be okay." I shut my eyes and nodded as she left the room. Before I knew it, tears starting pouring out of my eyes and silent cries escaped my mouth.

"Harry, babe, what do you want for dinner?!" I asked from the kitchen as he sat down on one of the sofas. He shrugged and laid his head back on the chair. "What's the matter?" I asked and walked over to sit on his lap. "Nothing, love. Just thinking.." I pecked his lips and frowned. "About what? Something serious?" He nodded and began explaining everything. "Well, when I was born the doctors told my mother that I may not be able to see. Like ever. But i could and everything was peachy for awhile until around 3rd grade when I woke up one morning and everything was really blurry and I could only see shapes and colors. My mum took me to the doc again and they said that I would have to start wearing glasses because of my vision, so I did until maybe high school. I would only wear them when necessary in hopes of regaining some strength in my eyes...but it didn't work, Bri. It didn't work-" He cried and laid his head on my chest, tears forming in my eyes as he did so. "I'm gonna be blind for the rest of my life and I can't do shit about it!!" He yelled and punched the sofa beside us. I grabbed him in my arms and held him close to me, water flowing down my cheeks faster now. "It's always the same. I-It gets good and then bam. More bad news." I nodded and rocked him back and forth. "It's okay, Harry. It's okay. You have me here. You have our kids. You have your band, your family. Your friends. We're all here for you." He looked up at me and blinked away tears. "Promise?" I smiled and wiped the tears away from his beautiful eyes.
"Promise."
