The bar was absolutely crammed from wall to wall full of people partying in celebration of the upcoming Halloween holiday. Despite how loud and rambunctious the place was, the pair of supernatural beings still found themselves huddled up, literally side by side, on a couple of bar stools at the counter. Zekai's long and nimble fingers wrapped with ease around the bottle of beer that appeared to be so much smaller in his large hand. In contrast to the type of beverage the demon god had chosen, Eekainine had ordered himself some whiskey, already having an underlying feeling of needing it to get through the next day trapped up in Heaven with the rest of the community. If it weren't for the idea of the looks and whispers towards his demonic half during that particular day, the hybrid would not have felt so pressured to prematurely deal with the issue.

"You know, Zekai," the Council member began as he took another tiny sip of whiskey. "Angels would be more open to the idea of an alliance further than the Council and Court if demons strived for the same ideals as you do."

"I am but only one God, my old friend. The God of Insanity, at that! My mere title gives off the impression that these new ideals I'm trying to spread is, in itself, absolutely insane," with his typical wide and lopsided grin, Zekai countered the Elder's statement in his own defense. He had been fighting for equality between not only all demons in Hell, but also between demons and angels. The God was one of the only few striving to make a change in the lowest realm of the world, and was often perceived as giving in to his own influence of craziness. The two species had been at war for such a long time, and it was simply ludicrous to even believe that good and evil would be able to come together for the better of everyone.

"But, trust me, I will not give up until the end of days!" With a reassuring nod and a raise of the bottle, the demon tipped the beverage back to down the rest of the liquid. The triumphant declaration did not go unnoticed, however, by the surrounding attendance at the bar. A few more cheers and shouts echoed through the bar for several moments after the demon's initial raise of his bottle, but soon quieted back down to the regular chatter within the bar.

The hybrid sitting beside the demon, however, was not as impressed with the sudden rising crowd pleasing cheer. His entire face dropped with as the almost annoyed expression took over until the noise calmed down. With a huff of air escaping as he shook his head slightly, Eekainine wrapped his hands around the glass of whiskey to quietly tap all of the inside of his many rings against it to accompany the minor scolding he had to issue to the God beside him.

"I understand the fact that tomorrow is Halloween and we are fitting in right now because the majority of the population is dressed up in costumes and is choosing to be festive. However. That does not mean you have to draw more attention towards us."

"I do see your point, Kain. I do. But, you really aren't being much fun right now." Zekai teased before raising his hand and waving it around in an obnoxious fashion due to his tall figure. "Yo, bartender! This old guy needs anoth--"

"No, wait, Zekai! I told you I only wanted to have one with you tonight. I can not take the risk of drinking too much and losing track of time."

"Oh, come oooooon! You still got time!" The demon God whined just like a small child would when he couldn't get his way. Zekai knew his old friend would have to leave soon, but, surely they had time for one more round before he'd have to leave. After seeing the hybrid's persistently negative denial to staying much longer, however, the demon knew he wouldn't be winning this time.

Before Kain could protest further and initiate the actions of leaving, the thud of a couple full glasses being set on the counter of the bar where they were sitting managed to grab both beings' attention. The bartender informed them with a vague motion down towards the right side of the bar that somebody had went ahead and prepared a special drink to end their night with. Of course, since it would be seen as rude to refuse, and Kain's angelic side simply couldn't ignore such a generous offer, his previous protest was immediately shut down.
