Second Period

"- Okay class, settle down. The bell has already rung."
Emma and Norman came to class just in time. I mean, Emma came quite quicker since she's a fast runner, an athlete's foot, you could say something along the lines. On the other side, there is Norman. He isn't the type that does any sports. If anything, he's the brains since hee was an honor student of course. Anyways, Emma gets to class swiftly without any difficulties. Norman, he's pretty much sweating bullets at this point but he pretended to be ok.

" - Emma, Norman, try to be careful with your team management. Told off the teacher
- Yes sir!" Said the two in synch

The two of them sit at this own seats in silence. Coincidentally, Norman was sitting next to Ray, the new kid. At first, he hesitated. He didn't know whether he should talk to him or not. "Well at least give it a try" he told himself.

" - Hey Ray. I'm Norman, if you forgot.
- Yo.
- Um sorry for before, you know at first period. You know, Emma really didn't mean to offend you.
- No it's fine. I forgot about till just now. Just tell the antenna girl that she should be a little kinder.
- What we you talking about?! EMMA IS SO KI-
- Norman! Quiet down! Aren't you the honor student? Goodness gracious.
- S-sorry teacher. Norman said as he sat down. He got quite embarrassed since everyone heard it.
- Pft... Ray giggled when Norman sat down.
- Why are you laughing? Whispered Norman
- It's nothing really... Whispered Ray while grinning. So you like her right?
- HUH?!
- NORMAN! CALM DOWN!
- Sorry!" Norman said while his cheeks went rosy red

The rest of the period was just Ray teasing Norman about liking Emma and Norman trying his best to sent it but it seemed quite obvious. Ray had a kinda talent in figuring out wheter somebody was lying or not. He could also distinguish different expression and what they're really hiding.

" - Have you told her how you feel yet? Feels like you have been hiding it for a while.
- Like I said, I don't like her. She's just a friend.
- Not so convincing since your cheeks says otherwise. They are bright red as we speak.
- What? They are? He said embarrassed and started to cover his cheeks
- Well, suit yourself."

Emma sat by Gilda, a friend of hers. They are also childhood friends but they don't hang out as often as with Norman. They were quite close as friends. They would tell each other secrets that nobody else knew. Emma would tell her things, thoughts on her mind that nobody knew, not even Norman. Today thought, no secrets were told but thoughts were definitely shared.

" - Hey Emma! Gilda said happily while waving at her
- Hey...
- What's wrong? Feeling under the weather?
- Well I did something wrong and didn't apologise properly yet.
- In that case what are you waiting for? It's probably just a petty argument with Norman right?
- No, it isn't. It's about me and Ray...
- Oh you mean the new kid? Yeah he's quite cold.
- Now it's also kinda awkward with Norman too. He tried to stand up for me but was pushed aside.
- Emma, you should just clear out the air between you and those two after class okay?
- I'll try!" Emma said with newly made hope get in her eyes.

Class goes on for the three of them and nothing too special happens. Finally, as the bell rings, it's time for Emma to talk to Ray.

" - Hey Ray! Can I talk to you for a moment? Asked Emma
- ...Sure." responded Ray quite softly.
They both walk together out of class as Gilda and Norman stalk them just in case if anything bad happens. They ended up at the schools yard next to the big tree in the middle of the school.

" - So, um... I'm sorry! I kinda wasted your time and also embarrassed myself in the process. Sorry!
- It's okay. Just don't do it next time idiot.
- Ok- Wait did you just call me an idiot?!
- Yeah I did.
- You meanie!" She said while Ray was definitely giggling at her.

The atmosphere around them became nicer. That was a good thing of course, but somebody started to get a little jealous. "Ray and Emma made up. That's great but... If they get too close, I won't be the closest person the Emma anymore..." Norman thought to himself while clenching his hands.

Oh. My. God. Finals are coming up soon and I'm dead. Studying this much is literally going to kill me. Ugh!
