As the next day rolled by, Emma came to school by herself without Norman. "Weird, Emma thought, he usually gets to school with me. Did he oversleep? No. That isn't the  likely case. Huh. Wonder why..."

As Emma got to school by herself, she started thinking about a few things. About Norman's reaction to her making up with Ray. "Why did he look angry? If anything, wasn't he the one who persisted on for Ray to forgive me? Weird. Really weird."

"Hey! Emma!" Emma recognized that voice that was quite familiar. It was Gilda's. She was happy to see her but she wanted more time alone. Alone time was something she didn't have so often. When she wanted to be alone with her thoughts, there would always be somebody there with her. Of course, that made her happy, so she never told the others to leave her side.

"Hi Gilda!" said Emma in a strained tone. She waved at her and showed her the best fake smile she could. Thought, she let out a light sigh that couldn't be help back.

As the two girls walked to school, they talked about any trivial matter that didn't really matter. At some point, they had an awkward silence that was quite soothing once in a while. You could hear the wind blowing, the birds chirping and the cherry blossom slowly falling and touching the ground. It was quite the calming morning atmosphere.

Once they arrived to their destination, they went to their shoe locker to switch pair. After that, they both headed to class. As they walked in the hallway, Norman was headed their way.

" - Hey Norman! Where were you this morning? asked Emma in curiosity
- Good morning Emma! I came to school early because i felt embarrassed about seeing you...
- But why?
- Well, um..." Norman said as he stuttered.

He felt flustered about seeing her because of the conversation he had with Ray the day before. He recalled himself saying that he would confess to her on that day. As his face became completely red, he looked back at Emma. Her emerald green eyes started at his in confusion. An expression that seeks answer. But of course, he couldn't tell her. He was way to embarrassed to do that. He was quite a smart child and would know how to solve first world problems like that. He's a natural born genius. But when it came to Emma, his IQ would drop drastically.

" - Well because um I have to go! Norman said as he ran away. He ran as quick as he can. But he should've known that Emma was obviously quicker than him
- Aren't going to explain why? Are you hiding something from me?
- I'll tell you later..." He said as he finished their conversation. Exhausted, he walked slowly side by side with Emma in silence.

He peeked at Emma to see her expression and it didn't seem like a happy one. She didn't seem angry but she seemed quite disappointed. Norman knew she looked that way because she had thought that he didn't trust her enough to tell her. Of course that wasn't the case but Norman felt really guilty.

So as the weight of his newly found guilty weighted on his shoulders, they both headed to class and came on time. As they arrived to class, Norman sat at his place that was next to Ray. They talked to each other casually and nothing special was really discussed about. None of them were in the mood to talk about yesterday's conversation. Time slowly passed by and without anybody realizing, class ended. The bell rang and Norman turns around to look at Emma and to head over at her direction. But it seems like she was staring at him.

Norman thought it was weird for her to stare at him but he slowly realized... She wasn't staring at him. With her emerald green eyes, her eyes were set on something else. Someone else. He turned his head and thought to himself. " Of course she wasn't staring at me. Who am I kidding? She was looking at Ray."

That was the first time Norman saw Emma do this so he found it quite odd. That was definitely not the first time she did it thought.

Whenever she was in class, she would listen to the teacher and pay attention. That changed once Ray started to hang out with them more often. At times, she would catch herself glancing at Ray whenever she got the chance to. Whenever she would come back to her senses she stopped herself from doing so. She did that really at a point where this situation happened everyday.

Day after day, after looking at him for a while, she'd notice things she hadn't before. Little details about his appearance and habits he'd do unconsciously. Since she accepted the fact that she stared at him literally all the time, she thought to might as well try to find out new things about him. "I didn't realize his eyelashes were so long. I mean how could I? His hair would cover like 60% of his face. His hair seems quite smooth and soft. Wonder if he'd let me touch it?" is a. Thought that goes thought her mind pretty often. After gazing at him for a while, she also started thinking about things she wanted to do with him. "Wow I didn't realize how broad his back is until now. I know fell like hugging him..." and "Now that I think of it, Ray's hands are really big. They seem really welcoming too. Holding his hands and interlocking fingers with him, wonder how that would feel like... I kinda want to try it."

Once the bell finally stopped ringing, Norman headed to Emma's direction keeping in mind that she was staring at Ray. He was questioning why she was staring at him but he tried to keep that at the back of his mind. Ray stopped him from going to Emma and he told him "I'll start staying away from Emma for you. You're welcome."

Before Norman could say anything to Ray,  he started to walk away from the both of them. Emma tried to catch up to Ray without even thinking about Norman at all. As she ran and left the class, Ray wasn't in sight.
