Lunch came around right after third period, and by then i was able to talk to a few people. Hell, befriend some as well. These people were fun to talk to. Even Jacob, who seemed like a total crap hole. I seemed to like him for his bluntness and he seemed to like me, and that was good enough. From what i've heard from people, he's the popular kid. If there is such a thing. He's a massive player and gets literally everything he wants because of money and good looks.
"What, you're going to buy that cow crap? are you crazy or what." Jacob asked, nudging me in my ribs.
I had to bite my tongue from letting a yelp of pain.
this dude had sharp elbows.
"I don't have time for home lunches. So i figured why not buy—"
"yah and get stomach cancer? are you kidding me? just look at the cafeteria lady, she looks like she puts out her puke as the daily chicken stew. Trust me you don't want to eat that stuff." Jacob snaps, cutting me off.
I sigh, giving in. " Ok, fine, i wont buy from here. But seriously, i have nothing else to eat." I told him matter of factly, shoving my hands in my pockets as i walked with him over to his and his friends table.
"Oh stop crying. I have someone getting us a box of pizza from dominos down the block. He'll be here in a minute or two so we gotta meet him in the football field pronto." He explained, gathering up the four other dudes on his table.
"Trust me, Noah, this doesn't happen often. We just thought we'd get it cause, your here, reason to celebrate." Mason said with a chuckle.
i smiled with him, following them out the cafeteria doors, and out on to the path leading to the football field. Almost instantly something hit me hard in the stomach, and i staggered back a few steps, my eyes widening in surprise and rage.
"What the hell, you blind dude? Watch where— Uh." i started yelling, but stopped curtly when i saw a girl pick herself up from the ground in front of me.
She was so thin, her arms were sticks, her thighs the size of my arm. she was wearing a hoodie and black skinnies. She looked up at me with big green eyes. huh? i've seen those eyes before... But where? i cant remember. i knew i saw them before. on a little girl. somewhere. I just couldn't get the just of where i had seen them. I suddenly remembered i was standing there staring at her, that object that bumped into me, making me look like a total idiot.
"S-so sorry. Im—i didn't mean to, i wasn't looking...I...sorry." she stumbled over her words, looking over her shoulder every second, and when suddenly she caught sight of something over her shoulder, she picked her book up from the ground and ran.
i just stood there dumbfounded, and when Lauren and Nikki strutted over to us, two girls i was told was two of the most attention seeking girls on campus, i nearly jumped out of my skin.
"Oh! This is the new one your were telling me about Nikki?" Lauren said, gesturing to me, her eyes studying me carefully, her tongue going over her perfectly glossed lips.
"Hell yah. He's like the funniest person iv'e like, ever met!' Nikki rambled in a shrill voice that made me cringe, and i was surprised none of the others cringed too.
Lauren took out a sheet of bright pick paper, scribbled something on it and handed it to me.
"Call me." She giggled, winking at me before leaving.
I mentally gagged. "Is this chic serious?" I asked staring at the numbers on the paper.
"pfft. She can never be, when it comes to relationships. Anyway come on. David said he's waiting." Jacob said with a roll of his eyes.
