"It hasn't been long since you were last here Miss Smith," my doctor from last time said making me sigh

"Sadly not," I sighed out loud avoiding Luke's intense glare in my direction. "So what was it?" I asked knowing the answer but wanting to hear someone else say it out loud.

"That was a miscarriage. It was caused by stress. Did your nurse not tell you to stress?"

"I never told anyone because I didn't know,"

"Is that the dad?" The doctor asked pointing out luke making him laugh.

"No way," he scoffed making me roll my eyes.

"Not now luke,"

"We really need to know the dad to tell him. He needs to be here," the doctor said filling out a form.

"That won't be possible," I blurted out.

"What do you mean that won't be possible?" He asked raising his eyebrow

"He's currently in prison..." I trailed off avoiding the disappointment on the doctors face

"He raped her so don't feel bad," Luke butted in sitting down on the little sofa they put in the room

"Oh I'm sorry Miss Smith,"

"Don't be, I mean he was just my best friend," I blurted out making him awkwardly nod.

"So you didn't know you were pregnant? No tests? Appointments?"

"Nope," yes a positive test buried in our bin outside.

"Ok so you can leave after you've just signed this form. Be careful for the next couple of days."

Anger was covering Luke's face, his eyes were squinted and his face was slowly turning beet red making me cower away slightly.

"When you did that test why didn't it show positive?" He sneered throwing his keys on the table next to him making me jump at the clatter when they made contact with each other.

"I don't know luke," I lied through my teeth making him shake his head at me slowly.

"Nicky stop lying to me," He said hitting the wall beside him making me jump again. "Tell me the truth!" He yelled making me place my bag down on the floor beside me.

"It showed as positive," I admitted making him avoid my glance "they brought me two, so I did one properly and the other was ran under the water."

"So you lied and tricked me," He scoffed rolling his eyes making me nod.

"I didn't want to lose you luke," I sobbed my eyes filling up with water.

"You've lost me lying to me,"

"Luke please I was scared. I didn't know what to do or what was going to happen. I didn't know at that point it was David's." I begged grabbing his arm as he tried to walk away from me. I watched him shake his head slowly, his hair flying all over the place, "Luke please," I sobbed making him finally stop and look at me.

My heart shattered as he stared at me. His eyes were red, and faint tear tracks lay on his skin. His lips were wet as if he was just licking them and biting them to calm down.

"Please Luke. I need you now more then ever," I whispered pulling him closer to me, sadness filling my body as I watched his ocean eyes frantically move around the room, looking anywhere but me.

"One more thing Nicky. One more lie than your out. I shouldn't be forgiving you over this. I told you I don't do-,"

"You don't do love, I know luke but I do and whether you like it or not you're the person I fell in love with when I saw you. I lied because I couldn't bare the thought of you not being in my life. Forget this job, forget the money and just focus on me. Power is nothing compared to love,"

"I don't know what love is Nicky, not after my ex-,"

"Love is looking at someone and only focusing on them, no one else matters. Love is like looking through a camera and it focusing on one person and one person only, everything else goes blurry. Love is where nothing else matters to you except your partners happiness and feeling the need to make them happy 24/7. That's what love is Luke and if that happens when you see someone, then hate to say it but you're in love."

I gripped the pink lead tightly in my hand as Petunia walked beside me. After the whole thing with me and Luke I decided to go on a long walk with my thoughts. One more thing then I'm out. One more.

"Petunia over here," I called to the bulldog pulling her gently to the dog park before unlatching her lead letting her run off. My feet dug into the sand leaving imprints of where I was walking.

"Hey is that your dog?" I turned hearing a voice come from beside me

"It's my bosses," I told him seeing him smile

"My dogs the one next to her," he told me making me laugh.

"Her names Petunia,"

"Mines Storm,"

"Such a typical dog name," I said covering my mouth as a laugh escaped it

"Better then Petunia," he joked pushing me slightly "I'm Ethan and that over there's my twin brother," he told me pointing to his clone in a purple jumper, currently playing with Storm and Petunia.

"I'm Nicky," I smiled waving at him,

"Do you by any chance work with Luke Hemmings?" He questioned making me play with the edge of my jumper nodding. "Oh sweet our sister mentioned you to us," he said grabbing my hand and pulling me over to his twin brother. "Gray this is Nicky,"

"The one she was talking about?" He questioned turning around.

"Sorry the one who was talking about?"

"Kensie," Gray smiled making me relieved,

"Start with that next time stupid you had me worried it was a crazy one of Luke's lovers or something talking shit about me," I laughed hitting Ethan's chest gently making the twins laugh.

"Kensie kept saying Ethan should meet you," Gray smiled nudging Ethan's arm making him roll his emerald eyes.

"I kind of have someone," I awkwardly said, rubbing the back of my neck avoiding his eye contact.

"No worries, he's only joking plus we just met," he laughed making me nod handing them my phone.

"I have to go now so if you could put your number in. I'll message you and we can meet up as friends without our dogs,"

"Sounds good," they both muttered placing their numbers into my phone before handing it back to me,

"See you soon?" I asked hopeful as I need new friends now that I haven't got David

"Obviously," Grayson laughed placing Storm on his lead mirroring me doing it to Petunia.

"Bye guys," I called out leading Petunia back out the metal gate towards our home.
