Selene's POV
There was blood everywhere. On my hands, my chest, my feet. I woke up dizzy, the remnants of in my stomach coming back to me. It felt as if I just took ten shot of tequila. My mind was out of place, my vision blurry.
I vomited into the grass next to me.
Blood came out.
Again, I did not know where I was. I was outside though. It was a beautiful day, today. But it felt to me like everything was out of place. I was lying against a bench. After a few more seconds, I analyzed where I was, the playground and bench barks, and realized I was in a park near Bixby High School. I rose up, a little too quickly and the contents in my stomach were released.
I vomited again.
It hurt, a lot.
That's when I began registering the blood. It was a lot, covering my clothes and hands. I started to panic. Did I get hurt?
I began to check my body, raising the plain shirt I was wearing. I did not find anything. I felt my body for any pain, and surprisingly, nothing hurt. That's when I realized that my bullet wounds were gone. Even my scars from previous fights were gone.
That's impossible.
Someone was sitting on the betch next to mine. His eyes were covered by his long black hair. His chest rose and fell rhythmically. He must have been asleep. Maybe he knew how I got here. I walked towards him, my feet wobbling as pain shot through my spine.
"Hey! Excuse me?" I reached out to touch him when his eyes snapped open and he grabbed my wrist, twisting it in the process. Instinctively, I punched him in the guts before he could do anything further.
"What the hell?" he exclaimed as he fell from the bench and doubled over, holding his stomach. I looked at him, unable to believe my eyes.
"Douchebag?" I asked incredulous. He lifted his eyes to meet mine and sat back down on the bench, a smirk playing across his lips.
"That's me, I guess," he responded.
"What the hell is happening? What did you do to me? Where am I? I swear to god if you did anything to me I'll-" he cut me off before I could continue.
"Calm down," he tried to sit me down but I refused. "Sit down, I'll explain everything. You might be a little overwhelmed at the moment."
I sat down, still cautious about the predicament I was in. I was about to ask a question when my stomach growled in protest. When I tried to ask the question which bugged me for a second time, I was hit with a staggering amount of senses.
Voices. Movement. Scents.
My mind jumped from one thing to another. I heard small snippets of conversation from somewhere or felt the vibrations of someone running or smelled the delicious scent of hotdogs from somewhere in the park. I think the douchebag was saying something. I tried focusing on what he said but all I saw was his lips moving.
"-transition smoothly," I heard.
"What? Why is my head spinning? Why can I hear things, feel things, smell things? What did you do to me?!"
"Calm down," he repeated, which only pissed me off. "Focus on my voice, my heartbeat. Focus on me."
He took my hand and placed it over his heart and I felt his heartbeat. It was amazing. It took all my concentration to focus on him, but once I did the world went quiet.
"Whoa," I commented.
"As I was saying, you might be feeling new things because it's your first change, which is pretty late, considering the fact that you around 16, maybe 17. The weird thing is that your wolf is beautiful. She's large and strong, which isn't common. Anyways, I'm here to make your transition smoothly."
"Excuse me? Wolf? Transition? Your crazy, aren't you!" I looked at him, trying to figure out what he was talking about. "Let me go!"
"You don't know?"
"Don't know what?"
"You're a werewolf, like me?" he said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
