"No matter what you do, no matter how many times you screw up and think to yourself 'there's no point to carry on', no matter how many people tell you that you can't do it - keep going. Don't quit. Don't quit, because a month from now you will be that much closer to your goal than you are now. Yesterday you said tomorrow. Make today count." ~ ?
3rd Person
Brandi walks with Jacob and Samara. They are looking for the others. Brandi remembers seeing Aaron get shot and Kiara carrying him off, and Elliot following Kiley while Alex was nowhere to be seen. The people who shot at them were on the island, Brandi could feel it. Yes, she has seen them by flying into a tree above them, luckily, without being seen. There were about twenty or thirty of them, each carrying a weird metal like thing. Brandi was confused on why they came here. What do they want with us? She got her answer soon enough when a few began to speak
~Flashback~
"Why are we even here?" One complains loudly, "why not just let them die off?"
"Then we won't have a weapon, idiot!" Another one yells angrily.
"We'll, its going to get us all killed and then what will Kani do?" The first one asks. There are a few mumbles through all of the people and one of them sighs loudly.
"We won't die, Maxwell," the angry one says to the first one, Maxwell, "there are too many of us, so we will outnumber them," they stop talking then and Brandi flies off in a hurry
~End of Flashback~
Brandi stops walking due to her tired legs. Jacob and Samara stop as well and look at her questionably. She manages a smile before she sits down.
"We need a plan," she says softly. They nod as they begin to think of a good plan to save their skins.
"We'll, we need to find the others," Samara says suddenly, "but who?" Yes, who? Out of the five missing, which ones should they look for?
"We should go find Alex and Kiley," Jacob says softly.
"How about Kiara and Aaron?" Samara says, "Aaron got shot! We should go find them and make sure that Aaron isn't dead," Brandi shakes her head at this and looks at Samara.
"He isn't dead," she says softly, noticing the relieved look in Samara's eyes, "the ocean would have went to chaos and would have caused several tsunamis," Brandi's eyes widen when she realizes something that needed to be discussed between her and Samara. She turns to Jacob, "why don't you go scout the area," he opens his mouth to object but goes anyways when he gets the stern look from Brandi. Once he is out of earshot, she turns to Samara, who looks confused, "do you have a crush on Aaron Smith?" Samara jumps and her eyes widen in shock of the question.
"Wait! N-no!" She stammers, "why would I?" Brandi raises an eyebrow and grins.
"Samara, I am a girl, I have went through what you are going through," I say, "yes, Aaron is pretty handsome, I get that. But be careful, I don't want you to get your hopes up then have them be squashed," she looks down at the grass and sighs.
"I know, Brandi," she says, "but I don't know what made me feel this way,"
"Love is weird," Brandi says, smiling and laughing a bit as well. Samara only gives a small smile as Jacob reappears, announcing it is safe. Brandi stops laughing and clears her throat, "okay, I will fly around, looking for Kiley and Aaron while you two go look for Alex, Kiley, and Elliot," they nod as they walk in separate directions.
~skipping over to Kiara and Aaron➰remaining in 3rd person~
Kiara limps over the fallen logs and roots with Aaron close behind her. They have been walking for a few hours, seeing no one the whole time. They stopped to rest for food and water every two hours and they both have little to talk about. Kiara stops once she finds a good, hidden resting spot. She sits down on a rock and opens her bag and pulls out two canteens and some berries for them. She hands some berries and a canteen to Aaron, who sits next to her on a tree stump. They eat in silence until Aaron decides to destroy the silence surrounding them.
"So wants your favorite color?" He asks suddenly, startling Kiara, who jumps a bit and looks at him, brows furrowed in confusion and shock as Aarom chuckles a bit at her reaction to the simple, common question.
"E-excuse me?" Kiara says softly, barely a whisper, as Aaron's grin widens.
"I asked you what your favorite color is?" He asks again and Kiara's mouth forms an oh as she finally understands what is going on.
"Oh, uhm," she says, the question catching her off guard for a bit, "orange, red, black and blue," Aaron becomes confused of this.
"Why those colors?" He asks her again and she smiles shyly.
"Because the orange and red are for the color of fire, black for ashes, and blue simply because I like it, especially when it is paired with black," he smiles at her reasonings and realizes they make since, "what are your favorite color or colors?" She repeats the question at him and he grins.
"I like the color blue, any shade of it, especially light blue," he says slowly, choosing his words carefully as if he was in front of a judge in court being blamed for a crime he didn't commit. Kiara looks confused and smiles a bit.
"Why light blue?" She asks, curiosity in her voice. Aaron looks away and laughs a bit.
"Do you really want to know?" He asks, looking up into her eyes. She nods, her faint smile still plastered on her face as she waited patiently for his answer. He opens his mouth to answer.
"Kiara!" A familiar voice sounds and Kiara stands up immediately, forgetting about their conversation completely, "Aaron! Finally!" Brandi lands in front of them and hugs Kiara tightly. They are like sisters. They know a lot about one another and have some sort of bond no one can break. Aaron stands up as well, grateful for the distraction, hoping Kiara wouldn't remember that he hadn't answered her last question. Brandi spots Aaron and hugs him too. They weren't close, but they would still give one another hugs and stuff.
"It's good to see you, Brandi," Kiara says, a wide smile on her face as she reunited with her best friend. Brandi smiles as well.
"It's good to see you too, Kiara," Brandi says and looks over at Aaron, a worried look crosses onto her face, replacing the joy fullness, "are you okay, Aaron?" Kiara looks over at him too, worried that he might have gotten sick or something, "how does it feel? I'm sorry about you getting shot," Kiara looks relieved that nothing is wrong with Aaron. Brandi looks between them and smiles before returning her full attention to Aaron.
"I'm fine, Kiara healed me," Aaron says, looking at Kiara, who blushes a bit as Brandi looks at Kiara, amazed.
"Really? I didn't know you knew how to heal people, Kiara!" Brandi sounded shocked and surprised as well. Kiara shrugs before changing the subject.
"Where are the others?" She asks and Brandi's eyes widen.
"Oh, I forgot to mention that," she says, laughing a bit. Kiara begins to get worried for the safety of the other five, "they are alive," Brandi says upon seeing Kiara's worried look, "we just got separated. Jacob and Samara should be looking for Kiley, Elliot, and Alex right now," Kiara nods, thankful everyone is still alive.
"We'll, what are we waiting for?" Aaron asks, "lets go find them," the two girls nod and follow Aaron through the forest until a scream makes them stop in their tracks.
