Muscular arms wrapped around my waist and twirled me around. I let out a little shriek before I was placed back on the ground. Colton’s grin was ecstatic; I don’t think I’d ever seen him this happy. The band’s drummer walked by and clapped him on the shoulder before grinning at me. “He always gets like this after he kills a guitar solo.”
Colton had crushed the solo. The crowd, myself included, ate it up.
I grinned up at Colton. “You did awesome!”
His grin spread if that was possible and he grabbed me and twirled me around again as he laughed. “I know.”
He set me down on my feet but didn’t release me. I shook my head but kept my smile. “Cocky bastard.”
Still grinning, he leaned his forehead against mine. “I love it when you talk dirty to me.”
Shaking my head, I pushed him off with a laugh. Bringing him over to Jess and Dex I introduced everyone.
“You know Jess and this is Dex.”
He hugged Jess, or what was left of her after she all but fainted in his arms, and did that guy handshake guy thing with Dex.
“I’m so glad you guys could make it.” Colton said as he quickly signed something a fan handed him.
Jess still wasn’t used to his presence. “Like we would miss this!”
Dex skirted closer to me and leaned close to whisper, “You already have him whipped.”
I punched him in the stomach, or at least tried to. He dodged at the last second and chuckled. “I’m serious. Watch him, he is completely turning down all his hot fans.”
I watched Colton who was surrounded by female fans and then looked back at Dex with a raised eyebrow. “He just signed some chicks boob.”
Dex looked and tilted his head to the side. “Doesn’t count. He didn’t even touch her.”
I shook my head at him just as Colton came over. He looked over me like he was seeing me for the first time. “You look amazing.”
I smiled and moved my hair, “Thanks.”
“Come on, I want to introduce you to the band.” Colton grabbed my hand and led me back to wear the band was mingling.
“Guys, this is Kylar. Kylar, this is Gram the other guitarist,” A blonde with bright green eyes, “Bryden our drummer,” A brunette with dark eyes, “Mason who plays bass,” A tall red head was a smattering of freckles, “and Andy who plays keys.” Andy had dark caramel skin and warm hazel eyes. The guys were all young and attractive; another reason the band had risen to fame so quickly. They studied me with a hint of surprise in their eyes.
“Hey.” I gave a little wave. They all said hi before slowly returning to what they had been doing.
I turned back to Colton who smiled, “I think they like you.”
I snorted out a laugh. With a grin he reached out and grabbed a piece of my hair, twirling it around his finger, which seemed to be a growing habit of his. “Want to come with me to an after party?” I bit my lip and glanced to where Jess and Dex were standing off to the side. Without looking away from me he said, “They can come to.”
He twirled the piece of hair again. “Why do you keep playing with my hair?”
He smiled, “Because it’s soft and I find it entertaining.”
“Are you five?”
He chuckled and instead of answering said, “You still haven’t answered me. Will you come with me to the party?”
