The dark was coming. I could see my house covered in it. The pure dark void bled into everything like ink, constantly spreading like a stain. I saw my family covered in it, frozen figures of time covered head to toe in dark shadow. The stain was creeping towards me. Backing away to the furthest corner, I felt a cold feeling glide around my foot. I had given up all hope. Then, she showed up.
Her hair was as bright as the sun, and her eyes were a grey-blue. She looked at my with a solid look of despair and determination. Grabbing my hand and tugging me away from the black death, we simply hovered over the dark. She seemed to almost be glowing. Her blond hair was whipping in the wind, and her jaw was set.
Am I in love? Oliver, what are you thinking? I throw her a hopeful glance. Maybe I am safe from this blackness. At least, I thought I was. I felt my body become even lighter as everything around me faded into nothing.
I jolted awake to hear my alarm clock ringing, and my mom calling my name. My mouth opened into a yawn, and I got ready for my first day of high school as a freshmen. I hope this new school will help me get into a good college. I roll out of bed, get dressed for school, and brush my hair. I need to make sure my smooth black hair is perfect for today. I look sideways at my glasses that rest on the bedside table, and decide against them. I don't need them that badly.
I grab my bag and run out the door, nearly tripping on the way. "Be careful, and remember to focus on studies!" My mom yells through the agape doorway. "Yeah mom, I know." I call back half heartedly. Half running, half walking, I make my way to my new high school. There are students everywhere, and teachers supervising every corner. This will be interesting.
I look around to find respective groups. The guys were mostly in one big group, and the girls had at least 20 different groups. I'll never understand them. I notice that one particularly large group of girls is blocking the way to the guys. I start preparing myself to ask if I could push through, but something, or rather someone, makes me stop In my tracks, it was the girl from my dream.
Sorry for such a short chapter! I'm just really tired and wanted to get that done. Thank you for reading!~
