Jimin arrived home quite late at night and had purchased your favourite chocolate on the way as a small gift for having to leave so suddenly. He had a smile plastered on his face, barely able to contain his excitement to finally be with you again, to be with his fiancée. His life's love. He kicked his shoes off well inside the house, confused as to why the door was open but you hadn't come to greet him yet. Surely he had told you he'd be home today and you always came running whenever he entered your shared home. He dropped his bag on the couch, placing the chocolate on the living room table, before moving through the house looking for you. It was only when he came closer to your bedroom that he heard the sniffling through the door and panic arose in his chest. You were upset, and he had not been there to comfort you. Jimin knocked gently to alert you of his presence before entering the room. The first thing he noticed was all the clothes strewn around, scattered over the bed and the floor as if a tornado had gone through the room. Next, he saw you. You were in the corner of the room on the floor surrounded by clothes, puffy eyes and red nose as you cried into your hands. You didn't look up at him as he moved to sit next to you, placing one hand on your back as he drew gentle circles, however you did seem to try and stifle your sounds slightly.

"What's the matter, cupcake? Did something happen when I was away?" he asked softly as he tugged your body closer to him. You felt disgusting giving into his touches after what you had done, but you couldn't bear the thought of having to push him away either even if it was what you should have done.

"I'm sorry" the words slipped out from between your lips before you could stop to consider what you were saying. You hiccuped, furiously wiping the tears from your reddened cheeks. You didn't deserve to cry; This was your fault, and you were not the one who should be allowed to be upset about it. Jimin sitting here and comforting you after you slept with his best friend; it may have been the two of you acting on primal impulses, but nonetheless, you were currently the one at fault. Jimin suddenly grabbed your hands, catching you by surprise. Your vision was blurred, but your eyes found his face surprisingly quickly and you instantly knew what he was thinking about. You had taken off your engagement ring. He looked around the room slowly, eyes falling on a suitcase that he had missed earlier. It finally clicked. You were leaving him. Your hands fell out of his as he went to wipe his palms against his sweatpants.

"Did I- Did I do something wrong?" He struggled to get the sentence out, and in return you looked up to him in a slightly shocked manner, shaking your head vigorously.

"No! No, you- You're perfect Jimin" you cried. "And I love you. I love you so much. You don't deserve this, you don't deserve me"

Trying to speak only made you cry harder, sobs turning choked as you struggled to breathe evenly. Jimin's eyes filled with tears, and your hands went up to press over your mouth as one single tear slid down his pale cheek. You wanted nothing more than to stop crying, but your emotions were getting the best of you.

"Please talk to me" he whimpered. "What happened? Please. Please don't leave me. We can overcome whatever this, whatever this is."

You shuffled away from him a bit, averting your eyes as you pulled your legs up against your chest thinking calming yourself down would be easier that way. It didn't matter, of course, there was no difference. You had been crying before he entered the room, and you imagined you would be crying as you exited it.

"Don't-" your fingers dug into your cheeks and the words were muffled into your palms. "Don't ask me to stay. I- You need to hate me. Please just- Just hate me!"

"I can never hate you, I love you too much" he sniffled. You closed your eyes involuntarily, hands coming down from your face as you wrapped your arms around your shivering body. It was not or never. Just tell him, and when he hates you and tells you to leave you can go. You focused on your breathing as you tried to block out Jimin's silent crying. It hurt you too much.
