As I was driving to the hospital I was just praying that Tiana wouldn't have this baby in the car. I wasn't ready plus I didn't know how to deliver a baby.
"Ti it's gonna be alright babe I promise" I said trying to keep my eyes on the road.
Then she hollered in pain "Chris! It Hurts So Bad!"
"Hold on Ti we almost there."
I sped my way over to the hospital hoping I would make it there in time. When we finally made it I parked my car in front not carrying if I got a ticket and I carried Tiana in the hospital.
Then I yelled "Excuse Me! I Need Help I Think The Mother Of My Child Is In Labor!"
Two nurses came up to me and Tiana and helped up.
"Did her water break?" One of the nurses said.
I looked at Tiana then she shook her head no, then I answered for her "No it didn't"
"How far along were her contractions?"
"Look I don't fucking know ma'am I just rushed here. Now can you please help her?!" I yelled.
After saying that Tiana started having bad contractions.
Then Tiana spoke "I have an assigned doctor I always go to. He works here"
"What's his name?" The nurses asked.
Tiana could barely speak due to the pain she was dealing with at the moment "Dr.Lansing"
The nurses finally noticed how bad Tiana was in pain and they called for the doctor.
They brought out a gurney and laid Tiana on it before bringing her into the emergency room.
I followed them because I wasn't leaving her sight.
Then the Dr. Lansing spoke "Hi Ms.Williams explain to me what's been happening"
"She's having bad contractions and I thinks she's about to have the baby" I blurted out.
"Who are you to Ms.Williams?"
Then Tiana responded "He's the father of my child"
"Ok, I'm going to check and see if Ms.Williams still has her mucus plug. If it's gone then it means she's ready to have this baby now."
I nodded "Ok"
"Help her get undressed and put this gown on. And I'll be back in a few short minutes to check on her alright?" The doctor asked me.
I responded "Alright"
Soon as him and the nurses left I helped Tiana get changed.
"Chris" she spoke lightly.
I held her hand and smiled "Yeah?"
"If I'm having this baby today imma need you to be there in our child's life"
I kissed her hand "I promise"
Minutes later the doctor came back in the room with one of the nurses and they walked over to me and Tiana.
"Ms.Williams if you would just lay down I will check your cervix to see if your mucus plug is gone"
Tiana nodded and laid down on the bed. The nurse helped prop Tiana's legs up and the doctor began to work.
Then the nurse spoke "Make sure you stay very still ma'am"
Tiana did as she was told while I sat next to her holding her hand.
