Hanji removed her eyepatch and dropped it onto the floor. Sasha sighed. She and Ana began to wash Hanji, cleaning the mud from her skin and hair. Once that was done, they got her dressed in a long white gown and brought her to her room. Ana opened the door. The room was large with smooth stone walls, a large soft carpet sat underneath the queen-sized bed, a canopy made of what appeared to be velvet was draped above the bed, large windows filled the East facing wall, a stone fireplace was nestled into the corner, a chair and table was near the windows and a glass chandelier hung from the ceiling. The room was very nice and comfortable.

"Forgive me Commander," Ana said.

Hanji felt something cold locked around her ankle. A shackle attached to a long chain. The chain was bolted to the floor, but the length of it would allow Hanji to move freely about the room.

"Zeke ordered us to do this," Sasha said.

"We really didn't want to," Ana added.

Hanji smiled softly to them.

"None of this is your fault," she said.

"I will find a way to set all of you free once this is over."

"Thank you," Sasha said.

"Food will be brought up shortly," Ana said.

"We are not permitted to stay with you."

Hanji nodded. Sasha and Ana left. Hanji heard the door lock and sighed. She sat down on the bed and looked at her hands...this was a living hell.

A couple days passed... It was the same routine for Hanji. Wake up in a nightmare, eat three times a day and feel alone. She wasn't allowed to see anyone, just kept locked up and shackled in her room. On rare occasions, Zeke would stop by to see her.

Near the end of the week-

Hanji woke to someone gently shaking her shoulder.

"Hanji, you need to wake up," a female voice said.

This was the first time someone had woken her. Hanji murmured and opened her eyes.

"Good morning Commander," Sasha said.

"Breakfast is here and then we need to leave."

"Leave?" Hanji asked.

"Mr. Jeager has requested your presence," Ana replied.

Hanji sighed. She did not want to see Zeke but if she argued, Levi and her friends would get hurt.

"Have you both eaten?" Hanji asked looking at them.

"Not since yesterday morning," Sasha replied.

Hanji pushed the plate towards them.

"You two eat, I'm not hungry anyway," she said.

"W-we can't take it!" Ana replied.

"Yes, you can, I'm giving it to you," Hanji said.

Sasha and Ana ate happily. Hanji sat back on the bed, getting lost in thought. After a few minutes, Hanji got up and walked around, stopping by the window. She looked outside and sighed; it was raining. All she had wanted in this world was for everyone to be free and happy. There was maybe a way she could get to that, but at the price of her own happiness. Hanji reached up and quickly wiped away a stray tear away.

"Where's my eyepatch?" she asked.

"Zeke told us to take it away...I'm sorry," Sasha replied.

Hanji didn't like the look of her damaged eye. It also brought back unpleasant memories...

"I...it's fine," Hanji said softly.

"Let's just get going."

"Let me fix your hair first," Sasha said.

She pulled Hanji's hair up and put it back into the signature ponytail Hanji used to wear.

"There, better," Sasha said with a small smile.

"My old hairstyle?" Hanji asked as she looked in the mirror.

"It shows you're strong and still Hanji Zoe, one who will always fight for us," Sasha replied.

Sasha and Ana walked with her to Zeke's office. Ana knocked and opened the door.

"We aren't permitted to go in, just you," she said.

"Take care of yourselves," Hanji replied.

"I promise to set you free as soon as I can."

With that, she walked inside and closed the door. Hanji looked around. Where was Zeke? Moments later, someone pinned her to the wall.

"Hello my beautiful bride," Zeke said.

He was uncomfortably close. His face was mere inches from Hanji's.

"I didn't expect you here this early, but I don't mind it," Zeke said.

Hanji was quiet. Zeke looked at her eyes. He brushed her hair from her damaged eye.

"Such a wound..." he muttered as he touched near the scarring.

"A flaw for sure but nothing that turns me away."

"You're disgusting," Hanji snapped.

Zeke laughed. He grabbed her arm and pulled her over to a chair and shoved her into it.

"You may be a strong Commander to your Scouts, but I much prefer you as a helpless woman," Zeke said.

"And even better, I like you tied up and at my mercy."
