The pale moonlight struggled to break through the thick canopy of trees of the forest near the cliff sides. The sound of breaking twigs filled the air as someone made their way through the trees. Their steps sure, as if they had traveled this path many times before, despite the ground looking as if it hadn't been traveled in some time. The air here was chilled, almost unnaturally, and almost even more unnatural was the complete silence, not a sound or trace of life was present here, aside from the lone cloaked figure. At the edge of the forest, near the sheer drop into the ocean of the cliff was a small cottage that looked to have been long abandoned. It's exterior worn and weathered from the constant spray of the ocean hitting the jagged black rocks below. A porcelain hand delicately reached out from under the cloak to pull the hood from her head. Her white blonde hair cascaded down her back in soft curls as she mumbled something under her breath. The moment the words crossed her lips a pink shimmering bubble that hadn't been visible before appeared and then disappeared once again. Striding slowly across the overgrown path to the rusted over door a sigh escaped her slightly parted lips before she reached out and grasped the door knob. In an instant the rust immediately vanished, along with any sign of age on the door. Walking into the humble building the inside was well kept, and looked as if someone had been living here recently. The inside was filled with modern appliances, and bright lights; bearing no resemblance to the aged exterior. Slipping her cloak off her small shoulders the woman hung it on a hook near the door before a tall man appeared almost out of thin air. He was much larger than the small woman. He had a scar that ran from his left eyebrow down across his face to the corner of his lip on the right side, as if someone had cut him across the face. His dark hair was dull in color, and his brown eyes were also strangely dull. "Mistress, you have returned. Is the deed done?" He asked as he offered her a glass of wine from the cart next to him.

"No Keith, I must move carefully. If I am correct then Connor will do this unsavory deed for us and I will be able to simply move in and harvest the girls powers for myself. It appears she is currently unaware of her abilities though, so she will have to be protected until she comes into them it would seem." She mused with a small grimace on her angelic face as she took a seat on the plush chair that was facing a large window that overlooked the cliff side and the ocean. "You will keep an eye on the child. I cannot risk being seen just yet." She instructed without glancing over at the large man.

Keith hesitated for a moment, he didn't want to do this. That moment of hesitation brought a familiar burning sensation through his veins causing him to grit his teeth as he fought to stay on his feet. "As you command." He spit out as the pain began to fade to that of a dull ache, one he had become used to over the last few years.

The woman looked up at him with a knowing look in her pale blue eyes. "You might not like it but remember you cannot disobey me. Not as long as our pact remains intact. You got what you wanted, and after I have what I desire you will be released from your bonds." She reminded him with a small smirk. "For now I require silence and solitude. You are dismissed to your quarters. You will speak to no one until I send you out to watch over the girl, Zoey, as she's called in this life." She said with a dismissive wave of her hand as she turned her gaze back to the window in front of her. Her long fingers gripped the wine glass tightly as she watched the calm seas in front of her, a small smile tugging at the edge of her lips. 'Soon, the time will be here soon and you will be fed once again.' She thought.

"I grow impatient waiting on your timing witch. If I do not have the girls powers soon I shall take from you instead. Remember our deal. It is what has allowed you to keep your current form. I can take it away as easily as I gave it to you." A deep growling voice filled her mind, the necklace she wore grew warm causing her to wince as she sighed once again taping a small sip from her glass, her brows furrowed in thought.
