Mina Ashido x Male Reader

No one's POV

    There was a boy in preschool playing with a couple of blocks humming a happy tune. His quirk allows him to rewind or fast forward any non-living object. Like turning ice into water or metal turning into rust, but when he does it to much he gets slow. The teacher called everyone to the front of the class. "Alright everyone, we have a new student joining us today." A girl with pink skin, two antennas, and raccoon looking eyes walked up to the front of the class. "Come on, introduce yourself." This was interesting because all the kids in the class didn't have quirks that changed their appearance. "Hello, my name is Mina Ashido. It is nice to meet you all." Everyone went back to what they were doing and Mina was wandering around, but no one played with her. Everyone soon had to go to lunch.
    (Y/N) was about to sit down and eat his lunch until he saw the new girl sitting alone. He decided to sit with her and she was startled when she noticed him. "Why are you sitting alone?" (Y/N) asked. "All the other kids think I'm weird because of what I look like." "Well that's not right." He thought for a moment, "Well how about we be friends." He stuck out his hand and she shook it. "I would like that."
    For the past ten years (Y/N) and Mina were best friends. (Y/N) gained a crush on his best friend a couple of years ago; there is just one problem. She friend zoned him. She has had multiple boyfriends over the years and when ever they broke up with her (Y/N) was always there to comfort her. He never had the guts to tell her how he felt, even though he had plenty of chances, he would chicken out. He just was worried that it would ruin their friendship if she said no and that scared him.
    They both went to U.A. together to become heros; he was in class 1.B, so they rarely saw each other, but still hung out after school.
    Everyday they would hang out in each other's houses and their parents always acted as if it was normal now. Currently they were hanging out in (Y/N)'s room, "So how was your day?" (Y/N) asked. "We had to fight our teachers, so I of course I had to go up against the principal and lost. But I still get to go to the training camp we're doing in the woods." "Yeah, my class did the same thing. I went up against a hero with gun and my teammate was Shiozaki. We won, somehow." "Good job." She then looked at (Y/N) with a devious smile, "So, Shiozaki is the girl with the vines right." He nodded. "Do you have any feelings for her." "No, she's not my type." "No girl is your type!" (Y/N) just shrugged. Mina would get frustrated because she would always try to get (Y/N) a girlfriend through the years, but he never liked any of them that way.
    "How about you Mina, have you found a new boyfriend yet?" "No, all of the ones in my class I just don't see myself with." "And your gonna get on to me for not being in a relationship." "Well at least I've been in some. You have never been in any." "I'm just waiting for the right girl." "No girl is ever the right girl."
    (Y/N)'s mom then entered the room, "Mina sweetie, you need to go home. It's getting late." "Ok, thank you for letting me stay over Mrs. (L/N). Bye (Y/N)." "See ya." Mina started heading to her house.
    (Y/N)'s mom then turned to him, "So are you packed for tomorrow?" "Yes mom." "Ok. Well dinner is ready so come and eat." "Coming."

Timeskip after the fight with All Might and All for One
Mina's POV

    It was time to go back to school today after the whole big fight incident. Afterwards all classes each moved into one big dorm depending on their classes and it was pretty fun. Although I didn't see (Y/N) this morning on the way to school when class B passed by and not at all today actually. Not even after the attack in the woods. It was lunch and I still didn't see him, so I went to ask class B where he was and they looked kinda down.
    I walked up to Kendo and Tetsutetsu, they were his closest friends in the school besides me. "Hey guys, do you know where (Y/N) is?" Tetsutetsu just balled up his fist and Kendo just looked at me confused, "You don't know what happened?" This made me worry a little, "No." "During the attack in the woods Tetsutetsu, (Y/N), and I went to stop the poisoned fog surrounding the woods. We got to the center and we found the guy causing all of it. Testutetsu's gas mask broke and (Y/N) used his quirk to return it to its original form. He was able to get Tetsutetsu's mask on, but while they were distracted the villain shot (Y/N). Once in the gut, and one in his shoulder." Tetsutetsu spoke, "I was to late. I didn't notice what was happening until I saw the blood. I could've stopped those bullets with my quirk, but I didn't." Kendo tried to calm him down, "It's ok, you were dazed by the poison. You couldn't help it. Plus you avenged him, that villain will be eating through a straw for a while." "What does it matter, it was already to late."
    Everything just stopped around me and my world suddenly darkened. Then one thing came to mind, "Is he ok!?" "Yeah, he's in the hospital. The doctors put him in an induced coma so they could preform a surgery. He's still asleep." The bell rang and everyone has to go back to class.
    I didn't pay attention to anything my teachers said, I couldn't. 'My best friend was shot and put in the hospital for a whole week and I never noticed. I am the worst friend ever!' Everyone kept asking if I was alright, but I never said anything. All I could think about was if (Y/N) was alright. School was over and I went strait to the hospital where Kendo told me (Y/N) was.
    I made it to the entrance and bumped into (Y/N)'s parents while they were leaving. His mom noticed me first, "Oh hello Mina. It's good too see you again, are you here to see (Y/N)?" "Yes ma'am!" "Follow us then dear." I followed them to (Y/N)'s room and when I entered he was still asleep. I saw a couple of things next to his bed and it was like his dad could read my mind, "Those are some of his stuff from home. Now if you will excuse us, we already spent our visiting time with him. We just wanted to show you where he was." "Thank you sir, have a nice day."
    They walked out and I was left alone with him I sat next to his bed and looked at him. He looked so peaceful in a weird way. I looked on the table next to him and there was a journal, 'I didn't know he had a journal he wrote in.' I know I shouldn't, but I picked it up and read it.
    The first thing I decided to read was like chicken scratch so he must of been young when he wrote this. 'Today Mina and I both went to a water park and had a blast! We went on so many slides and even had ice cream afterwards. Mina scraped her knee when she tripped though while we were leaving, but I was able to grab a bandaid really quick and helped her.'
A smile grew on my face 'I remember that day.' I skipped a couple of pages, 'Today was the first day of middle school and Mina was in all of my classes. As always I did great in math, but awful at English and Mina did great in English, but awful at math. We both made it into the school band with me using the trumpet and Mina as percussion.' 'Yeah, that was a good day.'
    I skipped a couple of pages until I got to the most recent one. 'Tomorrow I am going to some training ground in the woods with my class and class A. Today Mina and I hung out in my room. She asked me if I liked any of the girl's in my class and of course I said no.' 'Of course he did. He likes nobody.' I was about to close it until I noticed more writing on the other side of the page, so I turned the page. 'On the last day of training I plan on telling Mina how I really feel about her. I'm gonna ask her out and if she says no, then I hope we can still be friends.' That was where the writing ended.
    I couldn't believe what I read and I even re-read it. 'He; likes me. My best friend likes me!' I looked at his sleeping face once more while gaining a blush, 'Why am I blushing!' The nurse came in, "Sorry to intrude but his visiting hours are over. You should go home dear."
    I left the hospital and went to the dorm, ate dinner, and tried to go to sleep but all I could think about was that (Y/N) likes me.
