After what seemed to be a boring class, finally the bell rang and saved the day...

Just like any other students, Aishi immediately packed her stuff, hoping that she's fast enough to avoid a certain magician. Then again, lady luck loves to tease her even more now that she has a certain power in her possession...

"Hi, Edogawa-san! My name is Nakamori Aoko, your classmate and Kaito's childhood friend!" Said that one cheerful girl followed by the two pigtailed one, "and I'm Momoi Keiko, close friend of her. We didn't get to greet you properly earlier, since you seems busy, but I wish that we'll be a good friend!"

Aishi looked up to the owner of that bright smile before then she politely smiled back. "I hope so too, Nakamori-san Momoi-san." She turned to the fellow long-haired gal. "And you might not know this but I've met you before, although I'm sure that you know my little brother more. That megane kid tends to be around KID's heists sometimes."

"A boy with glasses... do you happen to talk about Edogawa Conan? You're his big sister?" Aishi nodded with a smile as she finished on cleaning her desk.

"Oh my, I did not foreseen this. But anyway, how is he? I haven't heard of him after... Mouri-chan's" Aoko hesitates and even seemed to regretting her choice of topics after hearing what happened in the news not so long ago.

Conan used to be taken care of by Mouri family, and Ran was on the lists of the people who got killed that night. It wouldn't be surprising if Aishi was just as close with the karate champion... she shouldn't have asked.

"It's okay, Nakamori-san. It's rather unfortunate to tell you this, but the news seems likely to be a huge shock to my parents as well. We got caught on a crash and being lucky for once in my life, I'm the only survivor of that accident. Though, granted, Conan-kun has always been happier when he's with Ran-chan." A short explanation written with lies. Then again, Aishi has always been a good actor for these past years, it's really not that hard to get everyone to believed her.

-okay, maybe not, Kaito. But that nosy guy already knows about the truth anyway...

"I'm so sorry to hear that" Aoko said with a soft gasp. Her face showed nothing but total guilt that Aishi almost felt guilty herself.

"It's alright. Though, I'll appreciate it more if you let me off hook for today. I still have to help my uncle with our moving here" said the red eyed girl.

"We were actually planning to invites you over karaoke, but maybe next time?" Keiko said as Aishi nodded with a smile.

"I'll put a raincheck on that..." and the others smiled back in return.

"Actually, I might crash in to lend a hand? if you're ok with that" Kaito carefully said, earning a raised brow from the Brit detective nearby.

the girl in mention however, replied with "Maybe not now, Kaito" To which the way she mentioned his first name has caught other's attention as their ears perked for the possible gossip.

The boy in question, however has a sense of nostalgia at the way she called him yet the blank stare was short lived as another question were asked, this time it came from a certain Red magic user who just decided to joined the folk,.

"The way you two interact is quite interesting, may I ask how did you know each other?"

Honestly Aishi couldn't help but getting slightly irritated, then again she's been agitated ever since her revival, her usual patient isn't much of present lately.

"I'll tell you the story, Shin-chan needs to get home now" Kaito cuts in as he helped the slightly confused ravenette to stand up. He gave her a knowing look before then giving a light tap on her shoulder, the tiniest gesture they both know of. upon this, her eyes slightly widened, not enough to be seen by anyone and Saguru just happen to be on her back, a reaction that Kaito has anticipated though mentally noted to be asked for later.

And so she flashed a polite smile and waved her classmate goodbye before then left their curiosity to be answered by the magician.

.oOo.

Deadpan face followed with a heavy sigh, she simply rubbed the bridge of her nose in the contrary of the panicking screams of those that surrounds her.

of course, another death.

Then again, maybe a peaceful life was never an option for her. so, the only question left is whether or not she have to get involved.

'I mean, someone has called 110...' her logic to start a new life contradicts her strong sense of justice.

She's a nobody here. Just another blurry face in other's life. No longer the well known Japan Hero Kudo Shinichi, nor she is the prodigy little detective, Edogawa Conan. She CAN be someone new now, she can just stay low and do nothing drastic, she can hide from the history's eyes once and for all.

Not just for her, but also for hakase...

The thought of the old man gives slight ache to her heart. He had insisted her to get to school and had assured her that he'll be just fine for a bit of while. She actually bought him this sushi to cheer him up a bit — Had she known her catastrophic curse would strike again, she'd had opted to go straight home.

But what's done is done. She couldn't turn back the time on her own. And all she is now is to choose, whether to go for the same path of 'his' past or just keep quiet.

...Today she learnt that ignorance is not as blissful as people claimed.
