Chapter 2

I wake up to my alarm at 7:00AM. "FUCK!" I say turning off my alarm.

Work. The most adult thing I could do, well, other then raising a kid but I did fail at wearing a condom with that so, Yano.

I get out of bed and head to the shower. I did the same thing as yesterday, turn it on all the way to hot, get out and get dressed.

When I was done I went into Ian's room to wake him up and get him dressed.

When I was done, I went to the kitchen to get him his normal food.

I pick Ian up, "come on, I gotta get to work." I say getting my purse and my keys and walking out the door.

I take him to my friend Jane on days I need to work. She was the only person who understood why I kept Ian. She lives a floor down from me with her boyfriend.

I get to Janes apartment and knock on the door. When she opens she is only in her robe and her tits are almost out.

"Hi." She says looking stoned out of her mind.

"Yo dude! What the fuck? You looked stoned out of you mind!"

"Maybe because I am, did you take that to consideration?"

"Whatever, just take him." I say handing her Ian and then running to my car.

When I get there, I pop in a Green Day CD and head on my way.

15 minutes later

I walk in the coffee shop right in time. "You made it right on time." My supervisor says. I fucking hate that bitch.

" yeah." I say, getting my self to say it in a nice way to actually keep my job.

I walk to the register and take orders , make coffee, my normal daily things.

The day dragged on for what felt like forever. I was about to go on my break when around one, I saw Mikey walk into the coffee shop.

"Uh... hey Mikey ." I say as he walks up.

He looked at me for a second before realizing who I am. "Hey y/n!"

"What would you like?" I say while getting ready to take his order.

"Just a normal coffee." He started to pull out his money.

"No need to pay, it's on me."

He smiled, "thank you, do you wanna hang out sometime?"

"Yeah, imma 'bout to go on break, we can hang out then." He nodded.

"Okay." I handed him his coffee and went to go sit with him.

As we sat down I wanted to get out what I know he has been wondering. "I know that you want to ask questions, and please do, I don't want anything to be unanswered."

"This is not really a big deal to me but is the kid yours because, if he is, I'm not going to run away from you, I'm not an asshole."

"He is, has an ass of a father but he is."

"Are you still with his dad?" My suspicion is starting to kick in at this point.

"No, I broke up with him when I was pregnant," I look at him with my eyebrows raised, "why do you ask?"

"I don't know? I just like to ask a lot of questions. So you have always been a single mom?"

"I did date this guy for around 2 months, but he wasn't helping me with anything and he didn't like the thought of being a dad to a kid that isn't his."

"Last question," He began smiling, "are you free Saturday night?"

I looked at him, I really like him I just alwaysk worry that it's going to turn out to be toxic like every other relationship I'm in is. "I...um"

"It's ok if you don't want to, I just think that your cool and I really like you, and if you say yes then I will except every aspect of your life that is fucked up." He said leaning forward.

I look at him and smile. "I'm free Friday at 6:30."

"So what do you say? It's a date?"

"I guess so." I say, shaking his hand as if we made a deal.

"Let's go to that one bar, The Angry Goldfish." He said smiling even wider.

"Sounds great," I look over at my boss and she motions over to me. "I have to get back to work. I'll see you Friday."

"Ok, can't wait!"

I walk back over to the counter. I was not expecting that. That was really surprising.

God I hope this works out.
