After the dinner, I decided to fix my ukulele. Well it's not broken but the two strings are not in place. Regalo kasi sa akin ito ni lola and sayang naman kung papabayaan kong sira nalang.
I went up the tree house and checked the box over the top to see if there are any strings left for ukulele. I found three of them. I don't know how to do this but i'll try my best.
I opened the window for fresh air. My eyes sparkled when I saw thousand of stars.
But,
There's no time to star gaze. I should put the strings on this damn ukulele so I can use it again.
It's now ten in the evening and i'm now trying to put the second string over. Crap, I hate this. I'll never play hard on my ukulele again.
Just a little..
"Whew!" I sighed heavily when I successfully get to put the second string. Omg, I'm so proud of myself. First time ko pa naman magkabit.
Now, what am I gonna do since I don't wanna sleep yet? Maybe i'll just stay here and take some photos. But not selfies, for pete's sake. I think i'll stay here for hours and think of three am thoughts.
But heck,
What am I gonna think if my life is boring? Wala namang ganap sa buhay ko.
Scratch that,
My life is boring. Until the day I die.
I inserted the jack of my earphones to my phone and listened to some musics. I don't know if i'll listen to songs or just scroll through social media.
I'll just listen to any random Ed Sheeran songs.
Where should I start, huh?
"Pssst." I was about to play U.N.I but I heard something weird. Tumingin ako sa bintana sa harap ko. Kumunot ang noo ko.
"Sa kaliwa mo." As I heard Navy's voice, I turned left and I saw him sitting on our rooftop.
I raised my eyebrows. He's on his sleeveless shirt and khaki shorts. I can see his biceps from here. I gulped.
When he told me to accompany him, I quickly said yes. I went down and went inside our house. I immediately went upstairs until I reached our roof top. Certified malandi na talaga ako.
I sat beside him, making a normal render distance between me and Navy.
I never knew it was relaxing up here.
"Bakit gising ka pa?" He asked. Hello, it's still early. Like, I can stay up for like four am and sleep at five.
"Inayos ko kasi yung ukulele. Linagay ko yung dalawang strings. Medyo natagalan ako." I answered while looking at the stars. He just nodded.
"You should've told me. I can fix that, alam kong nahirapan ka, tama ba?" I looked at him and I saw a light smirk on his face. Napatitig tuloy ako sa kanya ng medyo matagal.
"Oo eh." I chuckled, so did he.
Ilang minuto na ang nakalipas pero walang nagsasalita sa amin. Nakatingin lang kaming dalawa sa mga bituin o kaya naman sa mga ilaw sa baba. Natauhan nalang ako nung bigla siyang nagsalita.
"Tell me a story, Eunice." He said kaya nagtaka ako.
"What kind of story? Horror? Love story? Huh?" I asked stupidly. He just looked at me and embraced his legs. Hindi naman seryoso ang sinabi kong yun.
"Your story." And then he smiled.
I sighed. "There's nothing important about my life, Navy. I'm just living my life. I don't have friends, or---" He cut me off.
"Wait what? You have no friends?" He asked unbelievably, I nodded. "That's beyond impossible, Eunice. Ang ganda ganda mo, napaka. Tapos wala kang kaibigan o manliligaw?"
It took me eight seconds before I answer. I was focusing on the words he said. My chest pounded four times faster. Ano bang trip niya sa akin?
"O-Oo. I-I don't h-have one." Why am I stuttering? "Except for my dog, maybe."
"Well," He faced me and lend his hand. "I am Park Navy Jaehyo, signing as your friend, promising to have great amenities to do with you for my last three days here in the Philippines."
I almost laughed at the thing he did. He was waiting for my response while i'm trying not to laugh here. I found it funny but still, I found it cute.
Inabot ko rin ang kamay ko sa kanya. I can't believe i'm doing this. "I- I am Eunicka Lean Drillones, accepting your order to be my friend, promising to have great amenities to do with you for your last three days here in the Philippines." I chuckled hard.
This boy's givin' me a chill. He's so comfortable to be with. We just met yesterday, and the second day, we became friends.
"Yeah, I only have three days in here. Nga pala, pupunta kami bukas sa Tagaytay. For sure isasama ka naman sila Eugene." He said.
"On monday, we will go to the mall with my other friends including your brothers. Wanna come?" He asked. I quickly nodded. He chuckled.
"On Monday night, we're going to imbibe." He widely smirked and winked at me.
"But there's no way you're allowed to drink. As if naman papayagan ka ni Eugene. Eh parang.." Huminto muna siya at sinuri ang buong katawan ko. Kumunot tuloy yung noo ko. "Parang sobrang fragile mo nga. Baka nga root beer 'di mo kayang inumin."
Natawa ako ng mahina.
"I know.." I'm sad but hell, I don't wanna drink. I just wanna join them but i'll just watch them while i'm drinking an apple juice, looking like a messed up missing kid.
"But you can join us if you want." I smiled widely. Atleast I can join them.
"And on Tuesday, my last day.." He went sad. "I think i'm gonna spend that day with all of you still."
"Who else?" I immediately asked. I don't know why I became interested. He's gonna spend it with all of us so that mean we're a lot. What do I expect? Navy is famous.
He looked at me and smiled seductively. Why does he smile like that? I don't like it.
"Madami kayo." He winked. Umiwas nalang ako ng tingin dahil nagsimula akong pagpawisan.
"Navy, quit that staring and winking." I pouted. It's true, I don't like it. That's rude.
He chuckled. He pinched my two cheeks. "dangsin-eun neomu gwiyeowoyo.."
My brows went connected when he spoke Korean. I don't have any goddamn idea what he just said! Anong akala niya sa akin?
"Don't talk to me in Korean. You think I can understand it, huh? Huh?" He chuckled hard. He really likes to laugh, he's always happy.
"It's nothing." He sighed.
I'm not a fan of Korean pop or korean dramas. Korea is like, new to me but in today's generation, many of teenagers today really loves korean pop or korean dramas. Others are so desperate, but not desperate to learn korean or anything like that, anything like this blah blah blah. Don't get me wrong.
I didn't speak up, we stayed silent. All I can hear is the humming sounds of the wind.
"Uh, matutulog na ako. It's getting late." I stood up while saying that.
He didn't say a word. Instead, he nodded and slightly smiled. I gave him the same expression. I went downstairs and closed all the lights.
I took a brush and a face wash before going to bed. I stared at my reflection on the mirror.
