It had been two whole weeks since Louis had left. Niall hadn't heard from Harry since his last visit. But Harry had been fine. He had brought it upon himself to muster up enough courage to get out of his house, get back into uni and back into job searching.

"I have my resume right here." Harry grinned, rather chuffed with himself that he had finally found a place interested in him. It was a hardware store, nothing of significance. He knew nothing of hardware, couldn't tell a saw from a hammer, but a job was a job.

"Alright, well I will be sure to contact you in regards to it! Thankyou, Harry!" The overly cheery manager beamed, taking the resume from him and waving him goodbye as she shuffled back into her office. Harry nodded his head slowly, content.

"Time to go home and rug up." He muttered to himself, pulling his jacket tighetr around himself as he exited the building and looked up at the grey sky. It was a relatively short walk to his apartment. The snow was crunching slightly under is boots, sloshy in parts but completely icy in others. It had been rather freak weather recently, within the last week or so. Snow had come down hard and fast one night, blanketing the houses and the rain had been so heavy that the cold weather the next day froze all the run off, causing traffic delays for hours.

"Harry? HARRY!" I rather delighted voice cried out, tackling Harry to the ground as he swivelled on his heels to locate the person calling out to him. In typical Harry fashion he toppled over, rolling on his back in the cold snow to be met with a brilliantly blonde mop of hair.

"Niall! Hey buddy, how you been?" Harry laughed, looking down at Niall without a care in the world. Niall laughed loudly, jumping up and brushing his legs off before giving Harry a helping hand.

"I want to know how you've been mister! Hadn't heard from you in so long I thought you were gone." Niall smiled, sling a strong arm over Harry's shoulders as they walked side by side to Harry's apartment. Harry shrugged dismissively to himself.

"I guess I'm doing pretty well." He laughed softly, it was a bit forced but it felt nice to be back with a friend again.

"Got over Louis, have ya?" NIall questioned, nudging his side as Harry shot a sideways glance at him, slowing his movements until they were both simply shuffling along the sidewalk. Harry had been trying so, so hard not to think about Louis. Three days straight he had managed to take his mind off him. He had had so many sleepless nights this months. Nights spent staring out the window hoping to see his beautiful boy pondering down the streets in the light of the street lamps, showing up at his door... telling him it was all a practical joke.

"Yeah, I guess so..." Harry muttered, letting out a small laugh at how ridiculous it sounded. He wasn't over Louis, he still loved that boy with every little inch of him.

"I talked to him the other day." Niall smalled, kicking at the snow as they neared Harry's front door. Harry turned the key in the lock slowly, pushing the door open with a rather loud bang as it slammed against the wall.

"What did he say?" Harry questioned, ushering Niall into the house first. Niall smiled, kicking off his shoes as he stepped into the warm apartment and shrugged off his jacket.

"Nothing much, just been seeing a few blokes, catching up with old mates and li-" Niall was cut off as Harry slammed his hand against the wall near him.

"Seeing a few blokes? As in dating?!" Harry gasped out as Niall shrugged. Harry let out a shudder of a breath, kicking his shoes off with much more force than needed. He threw his coat across the room, taking the picture of he and Louis that he had hanging on the wall and shoving it into a draw in the kitchen.

"What's so bad about that?" Niall asked, so utterly confused as he lay down on Harry's carpet, staring up at the ceiling. Of course Niall didn't get it. Niall had flings and one night stands, not love and forevers. It was utterly tormenting to Harry that Louis had been so capable of moving on quickly.

"What's so bad about that is that while I'm here trying to get over him in complete misery, he's off probably shagging some guy as we speak! Niall you don't get it!" Harry cried out, lying on top of Niall who let out a groan, attempting to push him off.

"Just get tinder or something, that's probably how he's gotten his guys." Niall suggested as he gave up, letting himself be pinned.

"I don't really wanna meet someone new just yet but fucking hell, is that some gay porno site? Lemme look at this." Harry laughed, his mood swinging wildly as he grabbed his phone from his jeans and downloaded the app.

What happened after that would be even worse than Louis leaving him. What happened next left real scars beside the burns.
