(Jace's POV)

Two Hours before dinner

I was pacing around the room, freaking out.

"Dude, you're going to put a hole in the floor." Charlie said.

"You're not helping,"

"I know but dude you can't freak out. You've done all you can do. If I were in your position I would've kidnapped her by now. You've been patient with her." he tells me.

He does have a point, I didn't want her to freak out and hate me. I wanted her to trust me and if that meant waiting forever then so be it.

That somehow managed to calm me down a bit. I looked down at my watch to see what time it was.

"I should probably get ready now. I'm going to hop in the shower." I tell him as I head to the bathroom.

10 mins later I finished in the shower and dried myself off then wrapped the towel around my waist. I exit the bathroom and saw Charlie sitting on his bed.

"Are you going to be ready to get her?" I ask him.

"Yes, Jace. I will be. I promise I won't screw this up for you."

I grabbed my suit and headed back to the bathroom and just in time to because my older brother Shawn was calling me.

I pick up the phone and answer it.

"Hello, Shawn"

"Mom didn't want to make it seem suspicious but she asked me to call you and ask you about the trip. Believe me when I say I didn't want to call you." Shawn tells me.

"The trip is going great." I tell him.

"I know that you aren't going to tell mom why you left. I'm pretty sure you've told Charlie. So, are you going to tell me or am I going to have to beg."

"Why does everyone want to know? What if it wasn't that important?"

"So, it's important then. Interesting" he says completely ignoring what I just said.

"Fine, but you can't tell mom. Please I'm begging you."

"I won't say a word." he says.

"I found my soulmate."

There was silence.

"Shawn?"

"HOLY SHIT, JACE!" he yells.

"What part of don't say anything did you not understand, now mom is going to know."

"Jace, this is a big deal. When the hell did you have the dream?"

"When I was fifteen."

"When you get home I'm slapping the shit out of you. That was six years ago and you told no one?" he says.

"Don't worry Charlie already did the slapping for you."

"Mom's going to kill you when she finds out."

I winced at the thought.

"I know, I told her that I would tell her soon though." I told him.

"Well, can you tell me anything about her?"

"She's not like any of the other girls I've met in my life that's for sure. Charlie says that's going to be a challenge for me."

"Well, what does he mean by that?"

"She has anxiety and very low self esteem, Shawn. She doesn't like talking to people, the first time we bumped into each other she was extremely uncomfortable." I tell him.

"Oh, you're screwed."

"What the hell? Why?"

"If she has those kinds of issues then you really have a challenge" he says.

"I still don't follow."

"You're not patient. I mean, you can be very patient with lots of things but this is something different."

"Okay, I haven't done anything drastic to her."

"That's not what I mean, Jace. I wonder if she has a disability." That got my attention a bit.

"Disability?"

"Yea, this is what I mean by being patient. If she does something that you don't understand fully or can't handle but it makes her happy and calm, you're going to have to deal with that." he tells me.

He gave a good point. If she's that stressed and drained then I have to understand that more. She's definitely going to be a challenge but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to help her.

"Anyway I should let you go, but I hope we get to meet her soon"

"Let's hope that dinner will be a success tonight first"

"Good luck, I promise I won't say anything."

"Thanks," I say and hang up the phone and get back to getting ready.

I looked back at my phone and see that I have half an hour left before dinner. I walked out to see that Charlie had left to go get her, so I left to go make sure everything was going according to plan.

*time skip*

I finished up a few things and headed for the dining room.

Once I arrived there I saw Talia wearing the dress I got her and I saw how her hair was done. When she turned around she gave me a shocked look but all I could really see was how beautiful she was. I mean she looked gorgeous without makeup but I was completely lost in her beauty.

Charlie then cleared his throat which brought me back to reality.

"Thank you, Charlie for escorting here" I tell Charlie and he left.

I walked towards Talia who still had her eyes wide from shock.

I extended my hand to her and say "Now, Shall we proceed with dinner?"
