Hide's house was surprisingly very nice.
You had no idea that being a ccg agent paid so well, but by the looks of things, the man was more than well off.

As you carried your sleeping son through the home, you looked around, before getting startled by a soft dog running up to you begging for your attention. From the looks of it, the dog was a Samoyed breed.

Had it not been for you carrying Kaede you surely would've pet it.

You continued your journey deeper into the house before you found a living room, and since you didn't want to infringe upon Hide's personal space, you sat the boy on a couch.

It was now that you decided to pick up your phone to dial Kaneki again.

Surprisingly, unlike last time, he answers in the first ring.

"Y/n, where are you? I came home and you weren't here and-"

You cut him off before he could finish "Kaneki, I'm not going back there" you said firmly, in a tone of voice that you hoped conveyed that you were in no mood to be trifled with and that you were done with these stupid shitty mind games that everyone seemed to be wanting to play with you.

"What do you mean (your name)? This place is our home, what's going on?" Kaneki asked in a calming tone, but there was no way in hell you were going to let him convince you to come back.

"Look Kaneki, I don't know what the fuck has been going on, but there is no way in hell im going back there" you said as you walked out of the living room so you wouldn't wake your son. "Some crazy shit has been happening in that house, blood and stuff all over the floor a fucking heart in the fridge, it's like some paranormal activity shit except it isn't a ghost, it's a Ghoul and they obviously have something against me"

"Blood everywhere? What are you talking about? Is this some side affect of your amnesia? Maybe we should go to the doctor tomorrow and-"

"No! I'm not fucking crazy I know what I saw I touched it! I will not put kaede in danger Ken!"
You knew he would realize how absolutely serious you were if you used his first name.

You never used his first name.

"Me and Kaede are safe and that's all I can tell you, I can't tell you where I am because I think someone is watching me"

"I won't just stand by, (your name). I won't just stand around while everything I love is taken from me" He said softly.

You remembered the day he told you that he had kidnapped you. How scared you were. How scared you still are just knowing that fact.

The old before amnesia you, didn't care. She loved him.

But this you.. this you didn't have Stockholm Syndrome.

This you knew that loving him was crazy, and that it was wrong.
And even though your heart beats faster around him and his smiles give you butterflies you would never forget.

You let out a short laugh "isn't that what you did to me? When you kidnapped me? Took away everything that I loved?"

You knew Now was probably not the best time to let your true feelings show, but the stress of everything was killing you inside.

Kaneki said nothing, you assumed he was shocked.

And hell, you were too. But what's done is done.

"Goodbye Kaneki..." you said before hanging up the phone.

You weren't stupid, you knew that he would eventually find you.

But you weren't sure you wanted him to, after everything.
Besides, if he would go to such lengths to cover up what has been happening it must mean he knows something.

You aren't sure you want any part in it anymore.

You walked into the kitchen took the battery out of your phone and threw it into the garbage disposal.

It was time for a new you.

A better one.
