"YEAHHHHHH LETS GET WASTED TONIGHT!!!" Johnny yelled, already quite drunk from the half-empty bottle of beer he was holding in his hand. People cheered along with him, toasting before chugging down their beers. Satisfied, he plopped back down, his huge height dwarfing the couch he was currently sitting on. The music was blaring, and Jaehyun was surrounded by drunk idiots. Shaking his head, he smirked at Johnny from the other side of the couch, holding a red solo cup of his own and watching him slowly become insane from the alcohol. "You're such a lightweight, I don't know how you do it. Your parents started letting you try sips of their drinks since you were like, I dunno, 14? Shouldn't you have developed some kind of a tolerance to it by now?"
He shrugged, and drank some more. What Jaehyun said was true though. Johnny's parents had moved to France at a young age and had grown up there, where they were more tolerant and 'easy' about drinking. He'd been drinking wine at dinner along with the rest of their family by the age of 16, and because of this Johnny had been exposed to lots of it as well. By the time he was 14, he had tried about 15 million different brands, types and variations of alcohol. Still didn't mean he had a high tolerance for it though.
Shaking his head, Jaehyun took a sip of his own drink, one he had made myself – a mix of cranberry juice, orange juice, and vodka. It was the only thing he'd ever drink at parties, as he didn't like beer, or anything else. Johnny, on the other hand, was totally different. He'd literally chug down anything; it was quite disgusting sometimes, but to each their own, as they say.
Jaehyun nodded along to the song that was currently playing. It was pretty catchy and had a good beat, and by the sickening repetitiveness of the lyrics, even a kindergartener could figure out the song was called "Different Game".
Suddenly the music stopped and everyone started yelling and groaning, asking what the heck happened. Jaehyun frowned as well, wondering why the music has suddenly stopped. A voice yelled out "Sorry, but anyone who wants to play truth or dare can go upstairs to the 2nd door on the right. There's people up there and they want more players!" People started screaming that they wanted the music back, and in the blink of an eye, the music was back on, and people were continuing on as if there had been no interruption to begin with.
Jaehyun raised the cup to his lips to drink when Johnny tapped him with his foot. "Hey, you wanna go?"
He cocked his head. "Go where?" Johnny narrowed his eyes at him, then shook his head and sighed. Getting up, he said, "Let's go play truth or dare."
Jaehyun sighed. He really didn't want to get up from this couch but he did anyway, straightening his shirt out and re-tucking it into his jeans.
After saying 'sorry' and 'excuse me' about a thousand times and pushing through crowds of dancing girls and drunk guys, they finally got to the 2nd floor, where Johnny found the door and pushed it open. Inside, were about 15 guys and girls, some sitting on the floor, and others on different pieces of furniture substituted for chairs. Jaehyun saw a few familiar faces, like Lucas - Jungwoo fast asleep on his lap, of course. Yuta and Winwin were there as well, but seemed to be involved in a serious discussion in the corner. Jaehyun waved to Lucas and then went and sat down beside Johnny by the wall, leaning his head against it and closing his eyes. Once the door shut, He found it harder to hear the music which he was thankful for, because he kind of needed a break from that earth-shaking bass that seemed to be in every song. His mind drifted, and found himself thinking about the book he had been reading earlier before Johnny had dragged him out to this dumb party.
