Chapter Eighteen
The sun shone through the curtains that I forgot to close while on FaceTime to Luke. The hot rays woke me up making me cover my face as I opened my eyes and it was bright compared to the darkness I was in for the last twelve hours. I pushed myself up of the bed looking at the headboard before flopping around, landing back on my back staring at the ceiling. I pulled the dark blanket down before sitting up looking around the room I was placed in.
White and black were two of the only colours visible, with a few pops of pale pink and green. In the corner of the room, a two seater sofa was placed next to the balcony doors. On the other side of the glass double doors was a bay window, with pale pink and black seating so you can face the garden. A few white shelves and hangers were placed on the wall holding knick knacks and coat hangers for any clothes. A tray of sweet treats and hot drinks were placed on the dressing table Kensie placed in the room giving you free excess to the treats.
In the middle of the room was a fluffy pale green rug half hidden under the marble bed with black covers laying on top of it. The far right held another door leading to the en-suite bathroom and shower.
I swung my legs over the edge of the bed before pushing myself up and heading over to the hanger looking through the five days worth of clothes I grabbed before leaving home and coming Kensie's. I ran my fingertips over the multiple types of fabrics stopping at the denim. I wrapped my fingers around the rose gold coat hanger unhooking it and bringing it down throwing the shorts carelessly onto the bed, watching as they just lay there. I grabbed a loose fitting grey and white striped long sleeve shirt throwing it next to the shorts.
"Nicky you up?" A knock came from the white door leading to the corridor making my head snap in that direction.
"Give me twenty!" I called out to Kensie hearing her footsteps start to walk away. I quickly walked over the laminate floor swinging open the door, "Wait Ken's!" I called after her seeing her peep around the corner at me confused. "Have you got any vans?"
—
"Jesus Nicky, been here a day and you are already robbing my clothes," Kensie joked rolling her green eyes making me laugh slightly
"Hush Hush Kensie. You know I love you really," I laughed at her thanking her quietly as she gave me food.
"Yeah yeah," she scoffed sitting opposite me on the island table.
I stabbed the pancake picking up my knife and cutting the thick goo, before placing it in my mouth, nearly moaning at the taste.
"Wow," I muttered "these are good,"
"I'll give your compliments to the chef," she smiled before sliding off the chair and placing her empty plate in the sink. "I was up about an hour ago so I've already eaten, and the chefs gone." She told me filling the bucket in the sink of soapy water.
"You guys have a chef?" I questioned quickly swallowing my food seeing her nod.
"Don't you?" She asked spinning around her brown hair floating out slightly,
"Does Abby count?" I questioned seeing her shrug.
"If she cooks I guess. I heard you talking to Luke last night," she told me grabbing a glass filling it up with cold water and ice.
"Did I wake you?" I asked panic flooding my voice making me giggle slightly
"The babies keep sitting and partying on my bladder so I was up anyway," she shrugged.
"Babies?"
"I'm expecting two," she smiled massively making me scream slightly jumping up out the bar chair and running to her tiny body pulling her into a hug.
