Chapter Twenty-Three

"So what's today's magical talk?" I smiled swinging mine and Luke's hands as we walked towards the office block instead of getting a personal driver to take us.

"A business talk with my father..." he trailed off pocketing his phone in his back pocket, making me notice how he was wearing skinny jeans instead of suit trousers.

"Do I finally get to meet him?" I questioned raising my eyebrows at the blonde boy seeing a slight nod making a light squeal escape my mouth.

"He isn't an amazing person Nicky. Not as good as you would think," he sighed opening the door for me as we arrived at the Hemmings building getting instantly hit in the face by warmth and the smell of tea and coffee. "He only hires older people as they are more experienced," he informed me as I stared at the old people rushing around the reception floor.

"You're not old Lu," I joked making a small smile fall on his face, but as quick as it arrived it disappeared.

"Father," he said reaching out and shaking a mans hand.

"Lucas," he strongly said. My eyes floated upwards seeing an older version of Luke standing in front of both of us staring us down. "And who's this?" He said looking at me disgusted making me instantly look down, scuffing my heels against the floor. I was told by Luke to dress smarter then every other day making me throw on a navy blue dress that hugged all my curves, pairing it with my usual black shoes.

"This is my girlfriend," he stared forcefully making my head snap in his direction shocked at the words that left him mouth.

"I presume she's better then Arzaylea, more wealthy?"

"Wealth isn't everything," Luke started before getting cut of by his dad,

"Lucas, wealth is the whole world. Do you not remember your mother was wealthy? That's why I went for her,"

"That's disgusting," I blurted out jumping slightly when feeling like pinch my ass slightly telling me to shut up.

"Got a big mouth like Arzaylea," he sighed shaking his head "I'm Andrew but you will call me Mr Hemmings," he sighed shaking my hand before summoning us over to the lift. I followed behind Luke, wanting to be as far away from Andrew as I could but couldn't, I couldn't leave now. Luke reached his hand back making me grip it with both my hands as if my whole life depended on it. And in this case it kind of does.

"Now Lucas, we have some business to talk about, is it ok if she listens?" He asked as the doors opened and he stepped out, leading us to the furthest office from the elevator,

"Nicky can listen," Luke snapped slightly making me jump as Andrew spun around harshly

"Is that what's wrote on her birth certificate?" He asked calming before looking at me "because I believe Nicky is short for Nicola. And I taught you to be formal Lucas," Andrew snapped making all the workers look at us from their office blocks before looking back at all their paper work.

"Sorry father," he muttered looking down making Andrew look at our linked hands.

"And no romance!" He said making me sad as Luke separated our hands instantly making me miss the warmth he was emitting in my direction. We were led through the glass main office doors, led to the office table placed in the center of the room and forced to sit opposite, Luke in the dead center and me off way to the side.

"Now Lucas," Andrew started clapping his hands together making a clap echo the empty room, making me miss how jam packed Luke's was. "How's business? Any new offers I should know about?"
