Chapter 7

REINE

I stood next to Kat watching her down the drinks,i wanted to take it easy after what had happened last night. Taking those pills and losing complete control over myself was something different and i really didn't enjoy it.

"Girl you not gone get a drink? I got more pills too we gotta get lit tonight, Quincy said he wanted you to enjoy yourself after your photo shoot you deserve it" She winked ordering another drink.

I felt the bar tender staring at me pouring her drinks, i looked away looking up at Quincy and his friends laughing and talking, he had some girl sitting close to his right smoking and laughing in his face, i instantly became jealous.

"Katrina whose thats" i said signaling up to where Quincy now had his arm around the girl smiling in a picture she was taking.

"Oh just a bottle girl she aint shit don't worry about her let loose have fun cmon" she slid a drink over to me smiling. I stared at her for a moment before just downing it and sliding it back to her. She smiled in satosfaction taking a bag out of her purse. She swiftly took two of the skull shaped pills out sliding them on her tongue before handing me the bag.

"I'm really not in the mood for that right now Kat i wanna be aware of my surroundings tonight maybe network alittle isn't there supposed to be some other producers here tonight? I wanna speak with them"

"Girl just have one Quincy is gonna be upset if you don't let loose all the way i can tell you tense just from how you looking around every 5 mins" I rolled my eyes getting up and going up the stairs. Quincy didn't notice me standing there he slide a benjamin into the girl's bra giving her a peck on the cheek before she got up. She shoulder bumped me as she walked past looking back and smiling.

Q looked at me before taking a shot and so did Carlo, they both seem uninterested in the reason i was standing there so i sat down.

"Aint you supposed to be with Katrina, where is she?" He asked sounding a bit annoyed.

"She's at the bar...she was trying to get me to take some pills but i'm not interested in that tonight" I said looking at him, his face went from calm to disappointed.

"Okay but you need to take whatever she want you to take Reine this is business when you sober you less fun and if you wanna make it then you gotta listen to what i'm saying, im successful you see how much hits i made for other people? I can make you a star but you gotta listen to what i say, Katrina is my leading lady she like a boss in her own way...don't let her have to ask you to do shit 3 and 4 times aight?" I just stared at him i couldn't believe they were gonna force me to take drugs, and be crazy like the other night.

I felt a buildup of tears brimming my eyes but i quickly looked away. I wanted fame i guess i had to follow someone whose famous to get there first.

"Now go down there and listen to her baby i got business to settle up here" he added on turning back to Carlo, who was now staring me down. I got up feeling defeated and went back down to Katrina. She smiled inching the bag over to me. I snatched it grabbing two pills and swallowing them, i grabbed her shot and chased it down with Henny, feeling that familiar fuzziness take over my body.

QUINCY

I watched Reine take shots at the bar for a moment before turning my attention back to Carlo, we had some business to do involving her and the last thing i need was her trying to have a say in the gigs i was booking her.

"So you said you got Ja'hir to agree to this? How much he willing to pay and what does he want in return" i said looking at him. He was staring down at Reine as well biting his lip.

"Ja'hir paying 50k he said he won't pay the other half for the beat unless he know how that pussy feel.. he should be here by now he probably just running alittle late"

"Aight cool, she should be good and ready by then...he didn't tell nobody about this right? Not even his reps?"

"Nah you know Ja aint the type to air out all his business this is strictly a business deal" i nodded putting my focus back on Reine who was now on her fifth shot in 10 mins. She was starting to get alittle drunk from the way she interacted with Kat. Kat looked at me giving me a quick smirk before pulling her to the dance floor.

They began grinding and dancing on each other until Reine took her top off throwing it into the crowd. I was so focused on watching her that i hadn't heard Ja come up behind me.

"Aye playa i'm finally here" he said smiling and placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Then lets get straight down to business" i said guiding him back to the other couch.

Ja'hir was an R&B singer from the bronx he had MANY hits and accolades and even starred in a few movies. He was a sex symbol and still can be considered as one from the shows he does.

"Yea so i figured i could get a sample of what you selling me and pay half then after that i'll pay for the beat, i know this song gonna be another hit thanks to you"

"Sound good to me..imma just go get her from down there nd imma let you take her for the night just make sure you get her an uber back to the house and imma meet her there. Maybe after this you can get her a spot in the music video you releasing right?"

"If the pussy good then she can be the leasing lady" he said winking and smiling. I got up and went downstairs to get Reine. She was twerking on Katrina while guys stood around watching and cheering them on. Katrina looked at me and smiled moving back making Reine stand up.

"Why you move?" She said sounding disappointed looking back.

"Its time for you to go girl" Katrina said walking away.

Reine looked at me and squinted as if she was trying to make out who i was. "Its Q baby and i got somebody i want you to meet" i said taking her hand and leading her back upstairs.
