Chapter 8 Rainbows, Ashes, and... Flowers?

Luna quickly walked over to the tent, she could have shifted into her wolf side if she needed to.

She suddenly heard humming, making her jump. She decided to stand by the flap of the tent so she could observe these people from where she was without walking in and seeing something she didn't want to see.

Suddenly a woman no older then 20 walked out holding a small rainbow knife. Luna wanted to laugh at their hold on the knife. It was a thief's hold, one that all the assassin's were taught to NEVER under any circumstances use, as it didn't work for their type of "work".

The girl loosened her hold and sighed, "I could have sworn I heard someone out here." Luna rolled her eyes, "Hello there." Luna wanted to laugh at the girl who quickly jumped and tightened her hold once again.

"W-wh-o's t-th-ere?" the girl asked. Luna sighed, "my name is Luna Moon. And what might your name be?". The girl let out a yelp and turned almost hitting Luna in the head. "Why should I tell you?" the girl asked calling forth her bonded (a rainbow snow leopard with wings). The bonded hissed at Luna, not even making the assassin flinch. "I was going to help you... But share the hell out of this. You don't want help then I'll just be going." Luna said with a smirk. After about 2 minutes of silence Luna went to walk away. "My name is Limsn." the girl said quickly.

Luna smiled, holding out her hand for the girl to shake. Limsn hesitantly shook her hand. "So where are we?" Luna asked the girl.

"We are in the Raised Ridge Forest." said another voice as another woman walked out of the tent holding a little girl no older than 5.

"So you're not with my step mother?" the girl asked. Luna gave her a look, "who?". The girl sighed, "my step mother is the queen of this district, you know?" Luna shook her head, "I've been trained as an assassin for 12 years, and didn't even know where we were, other than not in Russia where I grow up before this." Luna sighed.

"Well, let us explain some of this stuff to you then. My mother died when I was 10, she was the queen back then. My father was distraught after her death, but he tried to be a good father and be there for me for both my mother and himself. It was going great until two years ago when I was 15 he met another woman. She was nice at first claiming she wanted to help my father and I. So after a few months of them dating, they got married, making her my step mother and the new queen. That's when she became a bitch. About a week after they were married she announced she was pregnant. She gave birth to triplets. She had her two favorites, the first boy and second girl while the middle child was treated horribly. So once I met Limsn, and we fell in love, we decided to run away a week after my 18TH birth day. We took my young 2 year old sister with us when we left. She has been proclaimed dead and so am I in the kingdom, we were "kidnaped and killed". So now she's not known as my sister but "as my daughter." The girl finished getting Luna caught up.

Luna sighed, "Sorry to ask this but what is your name and the little girl's name?" The girl laughed, "oh sorry, my name is Minka, and this little one's name is Nattily."

"Are guys planning to stay here your whole life?" Luna asked the girls. The girls looked at each other, "we don't know, what are you planning to do?"

"Well, my plan was to go and kill my evil old boss, and then go after my lover who is known as my mate even though we haven't completed the bond." Luna said sadly sighing more.

The girls hugged her, "it's okay you don't have to do this alone. We understand love and we'll help you get your mate back."

Luna didn't know how the rest of her life was going to go, but she knew that if she had more people like these two, she would be okay... And she also knew she was going to get her mate back even if it was the last thing she did!
