whose grief is that

whose grief is that?

i think i know.

it's owner is quite sad though.

it really is a tale of woe.

i watch her frown. i cry hello.

she gives her grief a shake

and sobs until the tears make.

the only other sound's the break,

of distant waves and birds awake.

the grief is cutted and deep,

but she has promises to keep.

until then she shall not sleep.

she lies in bed with ducts that weep.

she rises from her bitter bed.

with thoughts of sadness in her head.

she idolizes being dead,

facing the day with never-ending dread.

A sore neck and back leading into the day.

Without any plan of action, she just lays there. On the same couch she fell asleep last night. The same couch that she woke up on in cold sweat when her demons had finally left her alone for a continuous nightmare-ish night.

Breakfast wasn't an option. How bad her stomach was longing for food. She simply could not bring herself to consume one of her precious edibles.

The few cupboards in the kitchen being as empty as her stomach itself. The little money bag also begging to be filled up.

There was no point in actually staying here. Her mission has been completed and she failed. Why be here any longer?

She stood up and stretched herself out, already regretting the plan of doing anything that required physical effort.

But she wouldn't get far if she just stayed there. She had to keep going. Not for herself, but for the people she made a promise to. For the absent ones and the distant. She might've failed herself, but she wouldn't fail them.

Doing the same routine as yesterday only the other way around, she left.

Her footsteps softly tapped the dirt floor in front of her house, leaving to the centre. They were clearly audible considering they were the only pair there. Maybe that had something to do with the location.

Filling up the given space, but leaving more than enough room for every other potential house in this part of town.

Cold, it was not. More of a chilly morning in the summer warmth. Sometimes having that what you want.

The chattering around her coming up and replacing constantly in different forms as she walked on. The destination for now known, the cause of the runaway crystal clear.

Racing thoughts drowned again by the voices that fill up her ears. In desperate need of a distraction and having a nagging feeling that she is only trying to get away from her problems.

Children, ladies, and men trying to go unnoticed by everyone, talking so quietly like it's their last words. However, not everyone being their target, hearing it can be an outcome for the people eavesdrop.

The sun slowly rising and overlooking the wonderful peace and quiet for the first time today. Speechless to say hello.

The closer she gets to the market, the farther she gets from the 'poor' area. The further she gets from the feeling that she needs to turn back.
