I was on my way back to the main entrance and I felt absolutely horrible. The more time I let Emily's words sink in the more they hurt. They hurt because they were all true. I wish I could have just committed more before, so this all could have been avoided. But right now I knew what I needed to do. I needed to let Emily cool off as much as I could and then surprise with a romantic dinner or such. Hopefully, it would all turn out well, but most of all I couldn't flirt with Aria at all or even let her flirt with me.
I came in as everyone was cleaning up. I didn't see Emily anywhere, I hope she isn't going to do anything stupid. Lucy and the crew of police men had finished securing the area to make sure no one who wasn't allowed could exit. So far no one could leave expect the 10 people who were absent during the time the murder could have happened. Now Lucy was standing next to Arai and about 30 guards were around the building, 2 guarding each exit and 5 at each main exit.
"I hope you all enjoyed breakfast. Now that know a gist of what happened, i will be having short 5 minutes interviews with everyone that I haven't already interviewed. During the interview I will simply be asking where you were and asking to confirm if others were there too. So if you haven't already been interviewed please come forward and follow Lucy to the interview room," Detective Aria said, then turned around and walked back towards her temporary office.
A huge crowd gathered around Lucy and she got covered in the crowd, her being well not the tallest.
"Calm down. I want you guys to get in 3 single filled lines," Lucy yelled.
The crowd slowly separated into the lines, though they weren't exactly even.
"Alright. Now the first line please follow me. The rest fo you please stay here in the same lines. I will get back to you," Lucy said and led the line towards the room.
I looked around, there weren't many people not in the crowd. For some reason I felt we would be the ones left in the end, we were all suspects.
Emily was, of course, missing during the whole incident and found coming downstairs with Katie and Mindy, meaning any 3 of them could have committed the murder or they could have all worked together. But I didn't believe this was so because they all had alibis. Emily ran upstairs to clean her hand that gets cut by a knife and the cut was really. That night she went to the doctor and got it treated, so she wasn't faking.
Katie and Mindy were already upstairs getting napkins because they ran out. They were waking back downstairs when they saw Emily running up crying with a slashed hand. Knowing Mindy she probably overreacted and ran with Emily upstairs to get it disinfected. They ended up not finding any gauze as they probably wouldn't be any in a bathroom. So thinking quickly they took one of the cloth napkins they were carrying. Katie then carried the napkins downstairs replacing the stack that was missing.
Mindy having a mother that was a nurse and a dad who was a doctor, probably had enough experience to properly wrap the arm. Katie then came upstairs to help clean up the mess as the upstairs bathroom was themed white. They then all came downstairs and got confronted by Mrs.Lestun. I mean they all just went through a lot. Anyone in their position would be nervous, right?
Moving on to Austin. I see him as the prime suspect right now. Who takes 40 minutes to look for a person in a house? Maybe Austin and Miss Crumble did the crime together since they both like each other. But then why did Miss Crumble expose him and say she didn't see him unless she was trying to cover herself up saying she had seen Mr.Lestun, so she couldn't have killed him. If that is what happened, then this relationship isn't working at all.
Miss Crumble was always sweet I always saw her as an annoying sweet granny who forced you to eat everything when you came over, so I don't really think she was the one who murdered Mr. Lestun, plus they always had a good worker/employee relationship.
I don't really know why I would be a suspect, but I'm sure Aria would find a way to make me one so she could spend more time with me. I didn't think any of the maids would be left to stay, except Mindy and Katie. Everyone else seems to be off the leash. They were all there that night and all stayed inside the building the next morning. Well except that one other maid, I believe her name was Eliza.
Eliza was a bit different than the rest. She was the only maid that wore a kind of different uniform. While most maids had a white uniform with a black pocket. Hers was a black outfit and a white pocket. She also wore her hair in a ponytail instead of the classic bun, even though both Mind and Katie broke the rules too. Mindy with her too curly and messy to even try to curl into a bun and Katie with hair, well she just likes it in a braid over a bun I guess.
Eliza wasn't much of a hard worker, though she loved to be helpful with whatever she could. She was also an artist. She loved drawing and you would find her relaxing in the outdoor area of the complex drawing in her hammock. She found a lot of inspiration from it though I always found her a bit weird, but I don't hate her.
I didn't know anything about Eliza, but I'm sure I would know soon. As far as I knew she was there sweeping and cleaning when everyone came in, but who knows if she actually ran up and killed Mr.Lestun while we were gone.
The line got shorter and shorter as more people came out and filled the living room again. I was sitting off to the side on one of the couches. Since I didn't have much to do or no one to talk to since Emily was still nowhere to be found and even she was, she wouldn't talk to me anyway, I decided to look around and pay attention to every detail I had missed.
I was sitting a little off to the side of the room on a long white couch that was a straight line along the side about half of the length of the right side and the same couch was located on the other side. The couches were broken by the main door. It led to the main garden and was the north side of the estate.
In front of me was the little dome cover that was created on both sides by the curving of the stairs. On this side, it had a grand piano with a white fluffy rug under it. There were two potted palm trees behind it, one taller than the other. Next to it was a swinging bench, used by people who would listen to the music.
On the very right of the building was a huge painting across the wall. It showed a beautiful icy mountain range and a cloud winter storm. Below the mountains was a frozen lake and forest. The evergreen trees covered in snow. Then at the side, there was a small wooden cabin. It seemed like a small warmth in the cold atmosphere that surrounded it.
Below the painting were two L shaped couches arranged in a way so they make ¾ of a square. In the middle was an indoor fireplace. It was made out of a bluish marble that was ombre with a dark purple. The same blue and purple was put into the huge chandelier of the right side.
The corner of the right side was empty, it was where we would put the huge Christmas tree during the Holidays. The right side was more like a living room. The left side though was more of the kitchen aspect. It had, of course, the main table where we eat together on special occasions and where the family eats every day. But I guess today is in exception.
Behind the table was another fireplace this one in the wall. This time next to the stairs was a small garden, I guess. There was a fountain as well as a planter with succulents and other small plants. There was also the entrance to the kitchen which was located behind the staircase. It was also a little tiny hallway that connects both circular parts. It was were Angelia and the twins would hide when Mrs.Lestun was looking for them.
The middle was the ballroom where we would dance, my favorite days where when we did Irish folklore dances. They were so fun, I and Emily would always laugh so much we would cry on those days.
I sighed. There I was again thinking about Emily. I just wished I at least knew where she was. She had disappeared somewhere and still hadn't come back. It had been over 30 minutes already. I looked towards the door and finally saw Emily. I sprung up from the couch and headed for the door, but then I stopped myself. Things weren't the same anymore. I keep on forgetting.
