"HEY YOU!" One of them yelled as the sprinted towards you. "You're the punk my girlfriend left me for." The other yelled. They were obviously drunk. "Cherry told me all about you two. You're Ponyboy," he pointed to Ponyboy,"you got her hopes up, so high infact, that she dumped me. Then, you bring this little whore around and break Cherry's heart. Now you're gonna pay you scummy greaser." Instead of launching at Ponyboy, like you both thought they were, they jumped on you, and dragged you away. Ponyboy ran right up and squared one of the boys in the back of the head. It was no use, he ended up beating Pony up anyways. You were being dragged by your hair to the car, by the one you presumed was Cherry's ex. He made sure things hurt real bad.

You were forced into the back seat of their car, where you were stuck next to a bunch of bozo's who were basically drooling all over you. You were seated next to one of the doors. All you could do was stare out the window, and watch as you strayed farther away from Tulsa. They probably knocked Ponyboy out, he'd be found in the next couple of hours. In your case, you'd be far out of town by the time Ponyboy could even regain consciousness. This was probably the end for you. You kinda shrugged it off. Your life wasn't spectacular, and you've always wondered what comes after death. Maybe you'd go to heaven, maybe everything would just be gone, or maybe you'd be born as someone else, who knows.

A few hours past. You look over and see that most of the guys in the car are black out drunk, except for the driver. Now's your chance. You forced open your door and jumped right out, rolling on the concrete upon impact. You definitely broke your arm, but lucky for you, you're in a city with what seems to be plenty of people. You make your way over to a beige house and knock on the door. Usually you don't bother people around 4 A.M., but this was an emergency. A middle aged woman came to the door and was distraught as soon as she laid eyes on you. "OH MY GOLLY, SWEETIE ARE YOU OKAY? COME RIGHT IN." You were mentally celebrating, soon things would get back to normal. You sat down in her kitchen, bleeding, bruised, and broken. "What happened dearly? Do you need an ambulance, or is it okay if I drive you?" You cracked a small smile, feeling lucky to have stumbled upon such a kind woman. "I was kidnapped and I jumped out of the captors car, and hit the ground pretty hard, and I don't think I'm doing too bad. An ambulance isn't necessary." She nodded and lead you to her car. Where she sped you to the nearest hospital. When you got there, they rushed you to the E.R. where you were examined and treated for what felt like hours. You were right, you broke your arm. They repositioned it, which you were asleep for, and casted it. Your head was bleeding pretty bad, so they bandaged that up, and you had to get stitches in your hand. After all that, they moved you into a traditional hospital room to sleep.

You awoke in pain, and called for a nurse. She brought you breakfast and after you were finished eating, the doctors got your medical information and checked over it with you. They called your parents, who were very supportive and said they would return home soon to help you with the stuff your broken arm restricted you from doing. They weren't gonna be home for another week, and asked about the man who you told them was taking care of you, Darryl Curtis. You explained everything about the Curtises and it was decided that Darry would be your temporary guardian for when you parents were gone, but only if he agreed. Your parents would pay him and he would have access to your real home.

Now all that was left was to call him. You recalled the home phone number and told the doctors. They rung him up, and informed him about everything. At the moment you were more worried about Pony. He was probably filled with guilt. You were fine, he shouldn't worry, but you knew for a fact he was probably worried sick. You look over and see the doctor hang up the phone. "Darryl has agreed to your parents terms and is on his way over. We will have a brief meeting with him, and then you're good to go!" The doctor seemed real genuine. "Thanks doc." He just simply nodded and walked out of the room. Darry was now your temporary guardian. How amazing? You felt bad because now it's just another mouth to feed, but at least your parents were paying him more than necessary. It would allow him to lay off work a bit more. Watching you was basically his new job. Your parent's jobs paid real well, so paying him extra was no problem.

Soon enough a nurse approached you. (Y/n) you're being discharged, Mr. Curtis is here. Eager to go home, you rush to the lobby. Instead of seeing Darry, you see Soda wearing a fake mustache. "Hey (y/n) you ready to go." He winked at you. It was very hard to hide your laugh cause if you didn't it'd be suspicious. Before you left, you spotted the nice lady who helped you in the waiting room. You walked up to her and gave her a hug. "Thank you so much ma'am. I don't know what I'd do without you." She started to cry a bit. "Darling, you scared the life out of me showing up to my door all beat up. I'm so incredibly happy you're okay, and if you ever need me just call." She handed you her phone number and you waved goodbye. You walked out into the parking lot with Sodapop. "What's the deal with the mustache, and where's darry?" Even saying that outloud made you wheeze. "Good ol' Darry is at work, and he asked me to drop by and get you, and the mustache was a disguise." He wiggled his eyebrows. You guys made it to the car and you hopped into shot gun. In the back there was this weird tarp covering all the seats, the car must've needed repairs. Soda started the car and you were on your way.

"How far are we from Tulsa?" You questioned. "Like a good hour or two depending on the traffic. Those socs brought you out pretty far, I'm afraid to find out what'd they do if you didn't roll out the car." You thought about it and agreed. They would probably pay you a painful death. You wondered what they were doing now. "I know what you're thinking, and the cops are after them. They ain't got'em yet but they have a pretty good lead." He read your mind. Weird. "Oh how's Ponyboy by the way?" He smirked and took his eyes off the road to look at you. " I don't know.. why don't you ask him?"

With that Ponyboy sprang up from under the tarp in the back. "HEYYY (Y/N)." He yelled. You nearly jumped 10 feet. He scared the shit out of you. "PONYBOY MICHAEL CURTIS, DO NOT SCARE ME LIKE THAT AGAIN." You laughed but your adrenaline was pumping and your heart wouldn't slow. "Hey! I'm the one who's supposed to be impersonating Darry." Soda said with a chuckle.

You and Ponyboy talked the whole way back. You were glad he was okay, and he seemed real happy to see you. All was good once again.
