taehyung's sunkissed skin blended well with the bit of hazy sun that kept shining through the thick clouds, and his focused demeanor as he cleaned himself, it attracted jungkook in a strange way.
jungkook knew just how odd he was being; stealing glances at the boy, while he seemed pretty focused on his clothes. which he didn't blame him for at all. they were stained up, also they weren't sitting together as friends. only acquaintances.
they only knew each other's names, except that the older knew the latter was a current student.
other than that nothing at all. though jungkook still managed to feel horrible for spilling the boy's drink all over him - and himself, but he could care less about himself right now.
the bambi bit his lip before stretching open his mouth hesitant to speak. ,,i'm sorry for the spill..." the darted his eyes downward as soon as their gazes intertwined for not even a moment.
,,you don't need to apologize so much kook, it was an accident." the sunkissed boy replied with a rectangular smile before scooting up in his seat. ,,you care so much about me, what about you? your sweater was drenched."
the boy licked his lips nervously as he looked at the damp material dank against his own skin. ,,i'm alright." the boy reassured the other with a soft smile as he looked at him in the eye, for the first time since the spill.
,,good." the older nodded as a silence followed, making the raven begin to panic silently. he looked around the coffee bar, trying to make this less awkward. though he couldn't help but bring his gaze back to the beautiful boy who was looking out the window now.
the way he softly stared into the morning looked so elegant, it made it hard for the younger to even believe he was real. he was absolutely surreal to him. the boy's face paired a frown of unknown emotion, deep within his own thoughts.
he couldn't help but find him alluring.
he hesitated once more as butterflies filled his tummy. ,,um...taehyung?" the boy turned to the other once more, with a light tilt to his head. ,,um, a-about the other day... why did you do that?" the raven asked quietly as he tried his absolute best to keep eye contact with the boy.
,,the coffee, you mean?" the latter questioned softly, receiving a slight nod from the other. ,,well," the boy smiled widely, as always, giving the other a shiver of happiness, as always.
,,my grandma... she used to give me handwritten notes, when i wouldn't feel well. she was my guardian, since i could properly remember. i loved her with my whole heart," the older scrunched up his nose in complete happiness. ,,she lifted me up when i felt i could never get back up again, and showed me how to love... she showed me what love felt like. that's why i figured i'd write you a note and buy you coffee. i just thought to myself.. i know what it's like to have this for me, so i should show it to other people as well." the tan boy gleamed before a beautiful blush grazed the skin of his soft olive cheeks.
,,sorry... i'm rambling, again." the boy shied down a bit. ,,no no, you're completely fine; it's okay." the younger assured, becoming just as flustered by the latter's sudden shyness. ,,i don't mind psychobabbles." the raven smiled.
the boy gained an unfamiliar confidence, and blossomed for the older boy. ,,what about the tree?" the sunkissed boy tilted his head lightly before popping up cutely as it clicked to him. ,,oh, my grandma always drew trees for me as well, when i was younger. she always made them small and leafless. i called them "wish-well trees" since she'd always "wish me well"."
there were no words in the world to describe the way the older boy looked as he spoke of the things he loved so much. his eyes widened and twinkled like stars on a dark night sky, his mouth stretched widely showcasing his perfect teeth, as he spoke with a box smile that made his eyes turn into crests of joy. he was a wonderful work of art that made the younger feel alive.
the time stop ticking, the world stop spinning, and the two boys were the only ones existing in this world of gray. but the two shined like the sun and the moon, and only concentrated on each other rather than their dull surroundings.
they both were insane about one another, silently admiring each others behavior. the way they drowned in each other made them forget everything else, till of course, they crashed back to reality.
,,so sorry for the wait." hoseok spoke lowly between the two while setting down the cups of caramel macchiato with a dust of cinnamon powder. ,,thank you sir." the tan boy slightly bowed in his spot before turning to the boy.
the younger was ghostly pale as he gasped faintly, freezing up for a minute before lifting himself from his seat.
,,what? what's wrong, jungkook?" he sat up as the other gathered his belongings while throwing his bag on. ,,i gotta go, now, i'm so late- i forgot- i'm sorry, hyung." he panicked as he began rushing backwards towards the door. ,,i'll talk to you- sometime- i gotta go- bye bye!"
the brown haired boy couldn't even get angry at the boy for running out so quickly. it was adorable seeing the boy out of his usual, silent, shy character.
,,i'm sorry, sir, i'll be taking these to go."
