Hato's P.O.V
After Kirumi and I had lunch (which was delicious!), the two of us started making our way to our new home. Neither of us had seen this place apparently, which was kind of nerve racking because knowing Haruhi this home could be anything. So for the beginning of the walk I was thinking about what Haruhi could have bought for us. Either she was generous and bought a mansion or she was lazy and bought a cheep apartment. And knowing Haruhi it would probably be the apartment.
"I didn't think Haruhi would buy something like this," Kirumi said to herself.
"Hm? What was that?" I asked her.
"Oh, it's nothing big," Kirumi said," It's just the address Haruhi gave us is located in a pretty rich neighborhood."
Wait, REALLY?!
"Wow, so Haruhi was actually being generous this time," I said before whispering to myself," I wonder what the catch is."
Because there isn't a single time were Haruhi does something nice without putting a catch to it. That is unless it's a command from Petra. Which covers most nice things Haruhi does soooooo...
"Wait, there's a catch?" Kirumi asked, a little panicked by this new piece of information.
"Wouldn't be the first," I commented before looking around.
We were starting to walk into the neighborhood our home was located and let me tell you, it was a freaking rich neighborhood. Every house was basically a mansion with a yard bigger than a normal house you'd get in America. Plus every garden looked like something people would come to Japan to see. THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL.
"Oh dear lord," I said to myself," I hope we don't have to do things to this standard."
"You've never gardened before," Kirumi pointed out.
"HOW DO YOU KNOW?!" I yelled.
"Haruhi mentioned how bad you were with normal house work," Kirumi pointed out," But, than again, you can clean."
I pouted a little and looked away from all the houses. Not going to look at them now when I just realized I can't even plant a flower without killing it.
We continued to walk in silence until Kirumi broke it with a gasp. Immediately, I lifted my head up and looked at her with panicked eyes.
"What is it Kirumi? Has Satan come to take our souls to hell?" I asked.
Kirumi gave me a weird look.
"What?" I asked," I haven't seen Shadow's dad in a while."
"I question your friend group from America," Kirumi said before looking back in front of us," And no, Satan isn't here."
"Dang it," I said before looking at where she was looking," So what's the...?"
Before I finished my question, I saw it. A giant mansion that looked like a complete wreck and seem like no one has lived in it for years.
"Oh boy," I said while looking at Kirumi," Let me guess, this is our home."
Kirumi nodded her head, causing me to groan in annoyance.
"There was a catch," I groaned.
Suddenly, someone started laughing at us. I looked up and glared at the person, only to see a very familiar character. A red haired boy who looked about our age. There was no doubt about it.
It was Karma Akabane.
He continued laughing at us as I glared at him. During this time, I could tell that Kirumi was looking at him curiously while also checking the address a few times to make sure it was right.
