Summer's POV
I woke up just in time to see the Australian shepherd, who I recognized as "Bella", claw at my face.

I startled her and grabbed her speckled face and twisted in an odd direction. She fell limp to the floor, her blue eyes rolling back in her skull. I studied her body for a moment. He slim figure was no match for my muscular build. She had no chance against me.

I felt a little bad. But she came at me first. I had to kill her.

A man opened the steel door and walked in carefully. My hackles went up and I emitted a low growl. I lunged at him, but he caught me by the scruff of my neck and wrapped soft fabric around my growling snout. I lashed around but it was no use, he'd already put a rope high up on my neck and was pulling me to the door.

He took me to a small cage and ripped the fabric off. He glared at me then walked away. I heard the faintly audible sound of whimpering in the room beside me. I pressed my face against the bars, trying to get a better look. I saw a red and white husky being pulled into a dark room. I barked, attempting to maybe stop them. But it was no use.

My eyelids felt heavy as the sun slowly went down. I laid down on the cold concrete floor and growled when I saw a human walk by. I slowly drifted to sleep a few minutes later, my body aching from the fight.
