this is a weird chapter because it's not gonna be that important and I don't want to get to the good stuff just yet... so ye

Tony's POV:

I blinked my eyes open a couple of time and was greeted by a really bright light. I squinted to adjust the brightness.

I turned to my right a bit, then felt a shot of pain to my head. I winced pretty loudly and I reached over to touch my head. Then my arm felt like it was being chopped off and thrown in a blender.

I heard some shuffling to my side and I tried to look in my peripherals but all I could see was a couple of chairs and somebody's foot.

"H-hello?" I asked confused as to who was sitting by me, they moved some more until I could tell they heard me.

"Tony? You up?" I knew that voice, it was Stephen's. I sighed in relief.

"Yeah.., why does my head and arm hurt so much?"

"You fell" he said getting up from his seat, "You have a broken arm, and your head is damaged."

He took a seat on the side of the bed and placed his hand on top of mine. I smiled up at him, getting a good glimpse of his face.

He had large bags under his eyes, and I could tell he hadn't slept the whole night.

"Baby, you should go home and sleep. You look dead."

He smiled then chuckled, giving me a kiss on the cheek. "I'm fine, I'm gonna wait for you to be checked out of the hospital and we can go home and sleep together."

I didn't even have to think about it, I already craved that.

I looked up at the clock hanging on the wall, it was 2:46 am. I sighed then attempted to scoot over on the bed. Stephen looked at the empty space that was big enough to fit a grown man.

"I think we both could use some rest, what about you?" I asked patting the seat next to me lightly, he sighed then climbed in getting under the covers.

He placed his arm around me and buried his face into my neck. I could hear another sigh of relief and tiredness come from him.

"Isn't this better?"

"So much better."

I chuckled a bit to his response and kissed him lightly on the forehead. He tiredly hummed in satisfaction as I tried to cuddle myself closer to him without hurting myself.

"Where did Pete go?" I asked as we were in a comfortable position, Stephen's voice was very deep and rumbly just the way I liked it.

"Home, Steve texted me saying he would watch him."

"Man, Steve's the best. I don't know what I would do without him" I said as Stephen smoothed down my hair, and placed a kiss on my neck caressing me.

"Yeah, although sometimes I think he gets a bit lonely. Have you ever noticed that?"

I thought about it for a moment, then it really hit me. Steve was lonely, when he helps the whole team out he just want's some people to talk to.

"Now that you put it out there, I can see it. Poor guy, we should find him a girl."

"He's gay."

"Okay then we should-" I stopped for a moment. Steve couldn't be gay? He was that guy, that virgin, straight guy who's a hundred years old.

I guess if I, Tony Stark, could be gay, then Steve could as well. He kinda seemed like the gay type  anyway.

"We should get Steve together with his old pal, Bucky" I said turning a bit to face Stephen, his eyes were closed and I could definitely tell he just wanted to sleep. But I was too into this now.

"That guy who killed your parents?" Stephen confirmed.

"Yeah, that guy. He actually seems pretty nice, and I could see them together."

"Okay whatever, just go to sleep now, I'm really tired."

I couldn't sleep though, all I wanted to do was hop out of bed and get Steve this man.

So that he could be happy, I wanted him to be happy.

I looked over at Stephen who was still struggling to sleep, I then kissed his head and he calmed down a bit.

Steve made me happy, with Stephen.

The least I could do was get him a man, someone that he could talk to whenever he felt lonely or sad. Someone to tell a story to and laugh with. Someone to hold your hand and tell you everything's gonna be okay.

But then there's those times where you fight over a small thing, or you disagree. Or you put your bag on the floor in front of the front door and when they come home they trip on it and then they storm off to come find you, but you surprise them in the bedroom with candles and flower pedals and you're laying there on the bed naked, and it's just endless sex.

Okay maybe only Stephen and I do that, but that's not the point.

I knew Steve deserved this, he deserved a lot for what he does for this world and for the team.

"Hey Steph, I'm thinking to surprise Steve with inviting him to a dinner with his old friend then not showing up, that would be really funny to see his reaction and-" I suddenly felt a finger being pressed onto my lips, I looked down to see Stephen still holding me but his eyes were almost dead looking.

"Tony can you please do me a favor a shut the fuck up because I'm trying to sleep" he groggily whispered pulling the covers over his head.

"Anything for you honey, I would kill an army of Thanos's for you any day."

"Okay great now shush..."

"Okay, I will, I would shush the entire world for you to have a peaceful nights rest-"

"Anthony-" Stephen looked up at me shooting me a look, a smirk made its way onto my face.

"Sorry..."

After about two more hours of me tossing and turning and trying to plan out Steve's date, I forgot about it all.

Because I caught a glimpse of Stephen in his sleep, he was like an angle. Then it occurred to me that, I shouldn't be worrying about getting someone else their love, I should worry about keeping mine.

The love of my life could be gone in the blink of an eye if I took him for granted, I don't want to make that mistake.

I have my world right beside me, and there is nothing that I wouldn't do for him.

If I screw things up then it could all end, everything. I didn't think about this when I did screw things up, I didn't think at all.

And that was the greatest mistake of my life.

I thought this chapter wouldn't be too long at first, but it ended up being pretty long. Lmao!
