"Sehun, you're home?"
Sehun stopped while climbing the stairs and turned back to look at the man smiling at him. He managed a small smile on his lips and nodded at him, "Yes, father. You're early today."
"Yeah, didn't feel like staying at the office for long today. Freshen up and come down for dinner, okay?
He heard his Mom yelling from the kitchen, "Mom's cooking," his father said striding towards the kitchen to help her, "Come down as fast as you can."
"Yes, father." Sehun chuckled and ran upstairs into his new room. His days in this new family has been everything but unpleasant; just that he was having a hell lot of problems to adjust with his new brother, who was unfortunately a year older than him.
Sehun's new father treated him like his very own son; however he had seen how Kai on the other hand was not really favored by his own father. He was grateful to at least have a father even if he had to share him with his arch nemesis because from little, he never knew what having a father felt like. His mother divorced his biological father when he was only 3 and it wasn't until he became 18 that he got father who would actually take care of him and ask him how his day went.
All those years, his mother had raised him by herself and taught him all the best behaviors he should display to others. Kai, Sehun had heard, hadn't had a mother ever since he turned 6 because she ran away with another man and that was probably why he lacked in manners.
His new room was spacious, way larger than his old one but he missed his home back in that neighborhood which was just beside the house Jimin and Jisoo lived in. That was probably the only reason he was missing his old home; he missed their backyard where he used to play with Jimin and Chanyeol; He missed Jisoo's pet dog, Dalton whose barking used to wake him up every morning.
Most of all, he missed Jisoo's presence around him since she used to live right next door and the fact that she was now out with Kai wasn't helping him at all.
He sighed, taking off his spectacles and dropping his school bag on the couch. He grabbed his towel and ran into his bathroom to take a shower with a lot of things in his mind to worry about.
"Where's Soo?" Jimin asked immediately when Jinri and Chanyeol came into the house kickingtheir shoes outside.
Chanyeol shrugged, plopping down on his usual spot on the couch. Jinri followed, taking a seat right beside him.
''Yah, where's Jisoo?" Jimin asked again, this time raising his voice a little.
"Haven't you heard? Your little sister is dating." Jinri stated plainly, switching on the television by grabbing the remote.
"Jisoo's dating? Whom?" Jimin snatched the remote from her hand and turned the television off, taking a seat on the center table to interrogate them properly.
"Aish, she didn't tell you?" Chanyeol sighed. "You know Kai? The infamous bad boy of the school?"
"No way," Jimin mumbled, looking at them with disbelief written on his face.
"Yes way, she's dating Kai." Jinri said, "Now give me the remote back and please do make her understand things before it gets too late."
"She's dating Kai? That kid..." Jimin gasped remembering all the places he had seen this so called bad boy. The kid, as far as he remembered was not from this neighborhood; he remembered hearing Sehun rant about him when he was in middle school, about how he stole Sehun's homework and he couldn't do a thing to snatch it back and ended up attending detentions.
