Sick with Bucky Headcannons

Being sick with Bucky to take care of you would include:

Him putting everything off just to make sure he was there for you

Him waking up at the softest sound of his name, at all hours of the night, just to be asked to cuddle. Or he'd stay awae the whole time. He'd do it, too.

Making sure you were never alone unless you wanted to be

Murmuring to you softly in assurances he was there, you were safe, loved, treasured....

Spooning you gently, unless you were too warm for the action to be comfortable

Making sure you had enough Advil, Tylenol, whatever it was you needed

If you were going to hurl, he either had a sick bowl next to you both, or he'd scoop you up quickly to take you into the bathroom. Either way, he'd gently hold your hair out of your face, then give you your toothbrush then a glass of water to wash your mouth

If you stayed too sick to long, or got really, really worse he'd be the one driving you to the hospital, never leaving your side even though it frustrated the doctors

Only letting people into your room you agreed to, if you didn't he'd make them leave instantly. If you got really tired while someone was there, he'd shoo them out so you could rest

Doing anything quiet, humming, singing, playing guitar softly, whatever, just to distract you.

Being sick and cold would include:

Him making sure you had all the warmest, softest, heaviest blankets in the whole house

Sharing them with you because of his super-soldier body heat, also including him being way, way too warm hmself and just dealing with it so he could help you

And if that didn't work, for whatever reason, he'd take you into the shower, making it a decent temperature so you could both get in, then gradually turning it up until you told him it was warm enough. Nothing ever sexual in this act, just holding you there, maybe humming softly until you either warmed up enough or fell asleep

Then if you were still asleep, he'd make you your favourite tea or not-too-sugary hot drink, curling up with you and maybe watching a movie, reading to you, something.

Being sick and hot would include:

Him making sure the AC was on, fans if you needed them

He'd always be getting up to wither get you water or re-soak the damp cloth he was gently wiping you off with

Possibly taking a cool shower just to cool you off if it really got that bad

(Bassically, I'm sick, and this is what I wish was happening. I think everyone needs some Bucky in their life....)
