"Quinn this is all me, we both know it, you have always been stronger, I let you down so shut up." I hadnt been sober in forever and I didn't know what to say. He was treating me no differently than he did before I started drinking not like the guy who tortured him every night. How could he forgive me so fast. How could he blame himself.
"You hungry?" He said.
"A little."
He got up but then he put his hand on the chair and fell to his knees. I looked over the side of the bed, he was slowly standing up.
"No way man lay down and tell me what the hell I did to you.""I'm fine, alright! I just got up too fast."
He stood and made it do the doorway before he had to stop and grab onto the door frame for support. I was about to say something but he just kept walking.

I was worried about Quinn. I knew he was safe for the night but I was always the most uneasy the nights I saw him bleeding. I grabed my phone and texted him. "Howre u doing?" I went back to doing my homework. My phone lit up. I picked it up and entered the passcode. It was just a text from my mom saying that her and my dad decided to stay in the city for the night in a hotel. I guess I'd be alone with my th"Meoughts. I turned the screen of and went back to my pre-calc. It flashed again, my heart jumped and i hastily logged in again. Another text but this time from my sister saying that she would be staying at her boyfriends house and not to wait up for her. She liked to think my world revolved around her, truth is I had already figured she wasn't coming home anyways. I went back to my homework, no more texts.

Quinn had been downstairs for only about five minutes when I heard a crash. I reached over and shuffeled through Quinn's drawrers till I found a sling. I slipped it on, a feat that was not without due pain and frustraton, and rushed downstairs. Quinn was lying on the couch.
"Man why are you up?" He said as if it wasn't obvious.
"Shut up. What's wrong?"
"I just have a concussion okay, I'll be fine I just needed to lie down for a few minutes."
"Me?"
"Doesn't matter."
"It was me though wasn't it."
"Ya. But seriously don't worry about it."
I didn't know what to say so I just sat down at his feet.
"Hey man you okay?" He asked me.
"Ya it doesn't really hurt that bad anymore."
"No dude you're shaking."
I looked down at my hands. He was right they were clammy and shaking.
"I guess."
"When was the last time you went this long without---"
"Without drinking? I can't remember but I can stop if I want."
"You want to?"
"I don't know alright I've already screwed things up pretty freaking bad."
"You only missed two weeks of school man you could come in right now you'd be fine."
"You think?"
"Sure."
