I hear my bathroom door open

“Charlie?”

“I’m in the closet babe.” I call out.

He walks in and stops dead in his tracks “Holy closet.” He says laughing

“I know it’s a little big.”

He shakes his head “no Love, my closet is a little big this thing is massive.”

“That’s your stuff,” I say pointing to the corner behind me next to my wall of shoes. “But, I’m fine if you want to stay in the towel.”

“Not sure Sam would be though.” He jokes

“I could always fire him.”

He shakes his head laughing “When did you get this?” he asks going through all the clothes

“Sam called Sarah from the plane and told her we had to leave from the beach, she assumed you wouldn’t have anything when you got here.”

“This is a lot of clothes.”

“She tends to go overboard when shopping.”

“I can see that.”

I suddenly remember the purse, and walk over to pull it off the shelf “which reminds me,” I place the box on the dresser in the middle “that’s for your mom remind me to take it back with us.”

“Do I even want to know what’s in here?”

“It’s just a purse.”

He pulls a shirt over his head and kisses me before he walks out of the closet and goes to sit on the couch in my bedroom.

I poke my head out of the closet “are you sure you’re going to be ok here?”

He nods “Sam and I are going out for some male bonding time.”

Sam had offered to show Derek the city after I got a call last night from Sarah saying the show wanted to reshot a couple of scenes while I was here. I was secretly glad he didn’t want to come with me, the scenes I was going to reshot were a rewrite of the storyline so they could bring back Masons character next season.  And I was also glad to see a friendship brewing between Sam and Derek.

“Ok, I’ll call you as soon as I’m done and we can go out and do something together.” I offer. I know with the whole media storm that is around me Sam is not going to let me go out in public alone. I walk out fully dressed in white shorts with a black button up and yellow blazer, paired with tan gladiator sandals. I stand in front of the TV and do a turn “good?” he smiles and tugs my hand so I sit on his lap.

“You look amazing no matter what you wear, this, my shirts, sweaty gym shorts.” He says and he places a gentle kiss on my cheek.

“I think Joe has a tracking device on my phone,” I joke at his jab about sweaty gym shorts

He laughs as I get back on my feet. “I enjoyed meeting him, he’s quite the character.”

“He was just nice to you because he wants in your pants.” I tease,

Joe had stormed in my room at five am giving Derek and me a very unwanted wake-up call.  After he drooled over Derek for longer than necessary he dragged me downstairs for a quick wake-up workout. Derek had joined us half way through, and Joe apologized for walking in like that. “She’s never had a guy at her place” he explained. That little piece of information had put Derek in a very good mood.

He laughs “next time I’ll sleep with my shirt on.”

I shake my head “hey now, there’s no need to get so drastic.”
