Jen's P.O.V
I'm just casually sitting in my usual chair in the classroom listening to my teachers boring discussions when I was disturbed by my classmate. Her name is Lia and she's my friend.
The school's bell finally rang telling us we're to leave the school and gosh how much i'm suppose to express how happy I am that it is saturday tomorrow meaning no school.
As I put my pen inside my bag Lia grabbed my arm excitedly "'sigh' as always she's too excited" i thought to myself.
She brought me all the way to her car going to her home. We got to her apartment and yes she lives alone her parents trusts her that she is responsible enough to take care of herself as they work abroad. So we got to her house and she went straight to her room five minutes later she came back holding a box.
"Jen!!!" she squealed handing me a box.
"geez! You didn't have to scream right into my ears I almost went deaf Lia!"
I opened the box and saw the dress I liked from the store I liked few days ago "omg! Thank you so much! How did you know I like this dress?" i asked her almost crying, well I wasn't really emo about these kind of stuff but I just really didn't expect her to know I liked that dress so much I was actually really keeping things I like lowkey.
"Of course! I learned how to see the things you like since you keep things lowkey" she said then I hugged her
"So, since you got a new dress and it's weekend tomorrow why don't we hang out and go to the music fest tomorrow?"
"That sounds like a plan" I said

I took the bus going home since I didn't want to bother Lia to take me home. I took a shower and change to my pajamas, I wasn't feeling a bit tired so I decided to prepare the things I needed for tomorrow.
Next Morning...
I woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing I reached for my phone on my night stand seeing it was filled with messages from my parents, sister and Lia oh yeah I live alone here in L.A and my parents are around the world for business and my sister is living in Australia with her husband and is a famous designer I didn't mind living alone Lia was there to fill up my loneliness and my parents would always make sure that I was okay and would atleast visit me every holiday they had.
Mom: Hi honey How are you? Me and your dad are coming to visit next month and we are very excited to see you.
Dad:Good Morning sweetie I hope you're okay and not feeling lonely because me and your mom are coming to visit next month for the whole two weeks and we three can bond also I had put your allowance on your bank account spend it wisely and save up.
Gemma(sis): Hey I heard mom and dad are coming to L.A next month for two weeks? (expect me there😉).
Lia: Heyyyy wake up! We're going out I'll be there in an hour!
I saw Lia's message and I jumped out of the bed went straight to the bathroom and took a bath.
I was just putting on my lipgloss when I heard the doorbell rang.
'Perfect' i told myself then checked myself one more time on my mirror the headed out.
I got inside Lia's car then Lia got in as well she told her driver where we were to go then drove.
"Hey the dress looks so good on you!"
"thank you! You look good too" i said back also blushing to the compliment she just gave me
"omg! You're blushing eieee!" she squealed
"geez! You're squealing again! You rarely give me compliments that's why!" I said laughing.

We got to the carnival and Lia said she was getting hungry so we went to a nearby restaurant to eat brunch.
We went to the carnival then started playing games. We won a big teddy bear each.
"Lia look let's get a cotton candy!" I said excitedly.
"OMG! Their cotton candy looks so cute I want the hello kitty shaped one come on let's go!"
We both got cotton candies and we were a bit tired so we decided to sit on a bench for a bit.
"Jen when do you plan to get a boyfriend?" she asked out of nowhere.
"When I'm ready I guess?"
"Geez! You always say that and we're already seventeen we'll be eighteen next year and we're not getting younger don't you want to try and flirt?"
"well I just.."
I was interrupted by Lia's boyfriend
"Babe!You came!" she said
"Of Course I would princess!" he said
Honestly I like them together but I just don't like watching couples being sweet together it just really made me feel awkward but she's my friend so I guess I have to endure the awkward feeling I'm feeling now? Nathan is Lia's boyfriend and apparently he happened to be my first cousin whom I only knew to be my cousin last week and Lia's boyfriend for 4 years - yes 4 years they had been dating eversince Lia was 13 and Nathan was 14 I didn't like the thought of them dating when we were 13 but they knew their limitations so I just kinda had to just support them and eversince they started dating their relationship only became stronger everytime they are together.
We were heading back to Nathan's car since he was coming to the music fest at school as well, and I was walking just a few steps behind them since I didn't want to ruin their moment together. We were a bit at the far end of the carnival to the place where Nathan parked his car and the carnival was pretty big so it was still about ten minutes a walk away.
I was just enjoying the scene of the two couple walking infront of me until someone bumped into me.
