Chained and full of bruises. Dark place, a building that no one knows where exactly it was.

She felt that a hand harshly grabbed my face. Looking at her as if she is the most irritating person she had met. She actually don't know why she is THIS mad at her. She didn't do anything to her, in fact, she accepted all her verbal and physical bullying and never fought back.

“Poor you, I already ruined your innocent and pure beauty that everyone adores.” She laughed like a devil, a witch.

She tighten her hold on the chained girl’s face. She winced at the pain she felt. She continued to laugh like an insane person.

“I would like to ruin it more. Should I break your face for real? I am not satisfied with your bruises and cuts, I think I'll be satisfied if I will really break your face. Hmmm, what do you think Hyewon-ah?”

She took a deep breath and gathered all her strength to answer her. 

“WHAT DID I DO TO YOU HWANG YEJI? WHY DO YOU HATE ME SO MUCH TO THE POINT THAT YOU'VE HURT ME PHYSICALLY? I AM FINE WITH YOU HURTING ME WITH YOUR WORDS BUT THIS, THIS IS BEYOND THE LIMIT! CAN YOU JUST LET ME GO? I WON'T APPEAR IN YOUR LIFE ANYMORE, JUST LET ME GO!” Hyewon yelled as if her life was depended on it.

A loud slap echoed in the dark room. Yeji suddenly laughed again, she smiled like an evil and she grasp Hyewon's face harshly.

She whispered, "Do you think I am that easy? I won't let you go, Hyewon. Not until I finally broke your face, not until I get what I want!”

“Hit her.” She commanded to her hired people.

They started beating her up again. Loud cries was heard all over the dark place.

She opened her eyes and gasped for air as if she run a mile. Tears streamed down her face. Her nightmare is visiting her again. That nightmare kept on haunting her since then. She want to forget it completely but she can't. It can't be easily erased, forgotten from her memory because it left a big scar on her mind and heart that won't be able to be erased even the time passes by. It left a big damage in her life.

She was traumatized because of what happened to her. She got hospitalized for months after she was found in that abandoned building. Full of cuts, blood, bruises and worst, she had a broken cheek bone, a fractured shoulder and leg. It took her lots of months to recover physically but emotionally and mentally? She is struggling to recover because it was too much for her to handle. It wasn't a easy to forget. It wasn't easy for her.

“Hyewon-ah, good thing you're already awake. I cooked your favorite pancakes. Eat before you go to your therapy.” Her mother said while she is arranging the table.

Hyewon just nodded and sat on her usual seat.

Silence.

Her mother can't help it but to be sad because their breakfast wasn't this silent back then, back when that nightmare happened. Hyewon used to smile a lot, used be talkative, energetic especially when she is in front of food but after that, she lost her sweet smile. She chose not to talk and show emotions to anyone else.

Her family and friends really hope that one day, they will be able to see Hyewon's sweet smile and hear her calming voice once again.
