It wasn't that simple though. Green eyes wouldn't open the door. He had a screaming match with them before the other side went silent for a bit and I was afraid they had given up. Surely they wouldn't. They couldn't. Their job is to save us.. maybe they're waiting him out. I don't know. "Now where were we? Oh yeah, you." He says looking at Melody. Blood was dripping down her stomach and I felt sick. Genuinely sick. I couldn't dewl with it. I lean forward, and start dry heaving. I ended up only throwing up water. I didn't have anything in my system. I haven't ate since I've been here, after all.  It shot pains through my already pained abdomen and I wanted to just disappear. I wanted to die.

"H-help us!" I cry and green eyes rolls his eyes. "Shut up. They left." He laughs and I just continued to sob. Maybe he's right. They have up. Why would they though? So soon? "3, 2, 1 go!" I hear a man yell and suddenly the door flies open, the sound of wood breaking caused me to flinch. They started yelling at him to put down the knife or they'll shoot. Green eyes just smiled sinisterly while shaking his head no. "Put the knife down and step away from the girl." The police officer says loudly. Green eyes lifted his hand up, the one with the knife in it. I hear a gun go off and I scream. So loudly I think I burst my own eardrums.

"Hey, hey shhh. It's okay." A female officer says while approaching me. She had long black hair that was pulled into a ponytail, a soft, comforting smile on her face. Her eyes were a pretty blue, lined thinly with eyeliner. I flinch away and cry harder, pulling at the restraints. "Hey, I'm not gonna hurt you, okay? I'm officer Orzechowski, I'm gonna help you out of the chair okay?" She says and I look at Melody. She was already gone. I saw a white sheet draped over the guy who was shot and quickly look away. Oh my god this feels so surreal. This cannot be happening. This only happens in movies. No way, no way. "M-Melody needs..needs help." I say, my voice hoarse from yelling. "Officer Ross is helping her, I'm gonna help you though okay? I was told you need a female to assist you." She says softly, and begins to undo the restraints around my right arm.

I'm so glad they did get a female to assist me instead of a guy. Once my left arm was free I sigh with relief, the rope burns on my wrist hurt like hell. Both of my wrists were raw, bloody and tender. She started working on the one around my waist and I helped with my legs. Once I was free, she helped me stand up, wrapping an arm around me to support me. Police were everywhere. Detectives and reporters were outside and I whimper. That means one of two things. They heard what happened or my dad's and uncles are here. I'm guessing the last option but who fucking knows, reporters are wild. They find stuff out so fast. I thought the house was noisy but my god, it was even louder outside than inside the house. It was chaos. So many people were running around and talking loudly and it made my head spin.

Immediately people started asking me stuff. Police, random reporters. I knew I was a wreck. I knew I looked awful. I knew for a fact that I was covered in blood and burns and contusions. Mentally I would probably take years to recover from this. Immediately paramedics gently took me from officer Orzechowski, and tried putting me on a stretcher. I wasn't letting that happen until I saw someone from my family. Preferably my fathers. "No-no stop, I need, I need my Dads. I need to, need to see them." I say, panicking a bit as I looked around. I need them. I need to know they're okay. "Sweetheart, you need to be treated immediately." The guy says and I shake my head and go to walk away but he grabs my shoulder softly and I flinch and start crying.

"Delilah, hey. They're gonna help you. Your parents will be with you as soon as they can okay? They need to help you. You need care immediately." Officer Orzechowski says and despite me not wanting to listen, her soft voice was soothing and so I listened to her, and allowed them to lay me on the stretcher. "I'm..I'm scared.. I.. I need them." I mumble weakly. "I know. I know." One of the paramedics says. They were both guys, which I wasn't too fond of. I wanna be with officer Orzechowski again. She's really nice. They started connecting all these tubes and needles to me and started saying things that I couldn't really understand. Maybe I'm just dumb. "Miss. Urie-Weekes, do you have any deep lacerations? Anything that could be infected?" The guy who first spoke to me asks me. "Only the burns and cuts from him punching me I think I don't know." I answer softly. "On your arms and face?" He asks and I softly nod and cough. "Those look bad." I hear him mumble as he looked at the burns and I squeeze my eyes shut.
