"Diana, how did it go?"

"Not well, Batman. I don't know why you trust that Selina is able to help us. I barely got 2 words out before she got sassy. And what can she do that we can't?"

"She does that. It's usually charming...the banter. Guess she's just not used to talking to such a straight forward, honest person. I'm not exactly an open book, and she runs in some rough circles. Being too open gets you killed."

"I guess I can understand that. Being a woman in this world is hard enough without dealing with mean bad guys."

"Diana, you are too understanding and good and honest. Come here!" Batman wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her roughly to him with a manly grunt.

"Oh no Bruce, we can't. It's never a good idea to get involved with a coworker."

"But you know I love you, Diana."

"No, Batman. No, I know you're not serious! You probably say that to all the  bustiers-wearing crime fighters, I bet. Besides, I thought you and Selena were a thing."

"She can never compare to you, Diana."

"I guess that's true." Diana picked up Bruce with one strong arm and pulled him closer for a wonder kiss.

High above them, looking down through the skylight of the justice league's most top secret war room, Selena watched everything. "Why that two-timing bastard... I know I sunk my claws into his bicep and ripped his precious costume last week but I thought we had something special." A single tear slid down her face and fell onto her left leather-covered boob.

"That's it 'wonder bitch' I'm coming for you." Selena slunk away into the shadows in that special way that only cat women do.
