Kian's POV

I admit it. I didn't like Taylor at first. I thought she was too bipolar, and I don't like having all these people in the house.

But this morning was so much fun, up until she kicked me in the balls.

I wanted to hang out with her today, so I asked her if she wanted to go to the mall after she gets back from the music store.

"I'd like to hang out, but can we not go to the mall?"

She. Said. No.

What kind of girl turns down the mall?!

I'm kind of glad though, she is pretty fun to hang out with. I hate the mall anyway.

"So what is everyone else doing today?" she asked to no one in particular.

Jc spoke up first. "Well, me and the rest of the boys are going to a game. Except Kian."

"Please don't hurt me again!"

"Don't throw water on me again and we'll be good." She said smirking.

Everyone just laughed watching the two of us.

Taylor's POV

I'm lowkey really excited to spend the day with Kian. I mean if I can't date him we might as well be best friends.

"Oh yeah, that reminds me. Why did you hurt Kian's thingy?" Sam looked confused.

"Cause that bitch woke me up at 9am on a Saturday!"

Everyone started laughing again.

Kian stuck his tongue out playfully and I did the same back.

After the boys left for the gam, it was just me and Kian.

"Do what should we do today?" he asked.

I shrugged. "I don't know. It's up to you."

"Wanna penny board to the park?"

"Actually about that.....i kinda never learned how to penny board."

A blush rose to my cheeks.

"No need to blush Tay. I'll teach you." he said smiling.

"Really? Thanks Ke-yaan."

"Ke-yaan?"

"Yup." He raised an eyebrow.

"Weirdo. Let's go to the park. I'll teach you there."

"One problem. I don't have a board."

"I got you."

He pulled out a black board with white wheels.

"This was the board I used to learn. Just be careful with it. Maybe if you get good enough we will buy you your own."

I smiled "Really?! Kian, thank you but if this is so special I can't use it."

"Yes you can. Trust me. Now leggo!" He yelled pointing in the wrong direction.

I turned his body the other way.

"Now leggo!" he yelled again.

The park was only two blocks away, so we walked.

Although it was only 10 minutes, my thinking made it feel like an hour.

Why was Ricky lying earlier? Why is Kian being so nice? What is going on? Is Kian just pretending to be nice? Does he just hang out with me out of pity? Why do I overthink things so much?

Kian interrupted my thoughts. "We're here."

I looked around. The park was beautiful.

"Amazing, isn't it?" Kian whispered in my ear.

I jumped. "Yeah it is. Now please don't ever sneak up on me again because I nearly just had a heart attack."

My stomach was doing flip flops.

I'm not sure if I like Kian anymore.

Maybe as just friends?

I mean, he is pretty attractive. Who wouldn't date him?

Wait. What? Did I really just say that I would date a member of my new family.

Gross.

Well...it's a possibility.

It started *northern* downpouring before Kian could teach me how to penny board so we ran back to the house before the thunder and lighting started (I felt punny today)

"Well that happened." Kian says sitting down on the couch.

"We probably should have checked the weather first."

I sit next to him.

"So we don't really know a lot about each other."

Well I mean I know a lot about him.

"Do you want to play 20 questions?"

I nod.

"Do you have any talents?"

"Well I used to play guitar, and sing a little. I also take random artsy photos on my phone."

I pulled out my phone and showed Kian a photo I took of L.A  (The photo is actually NYC but close enough)

He scoots closer to see the photo.

"Taylor that's amazing."

I look at him. "It's not that good. I just made LA black and white" I say laughing.

We make eye contacts.

He starts leaning in.

Ok I like him but he has a girlfriend and this is not how I wanted my first kiss to go.

The front door opens and Connor yells "We're back!"

Kian jumps away from me.
