Taylor's POV

Jenn and Andrea's friend Lauren stands in the door. She looks pissed as hell.

"Lauren?!" Connor asks surprised. "What are you doing here?"

Still pissed, she answers "Jen left her hoodie here last night so I came to pick it up. But I walk in to find this!"

Kian looked at her with wide eyes. "L-Lauren. I c-can explain."

"Oh there is no need for that. I now know why you dumped Andrea. Because of this slut." She said motioning to Acacia.

Jc then came down the stairs to see

• a frightened Kian

• a pissed Lauren

• and a smug looking Acacia

He slowly backed up the stairs.

"L-Lauren. P-please don't tell Andrea."

"Fuck you! You don't think she has a right to know?! You're an asshole and a fuckboy" Lauren turned around slamming the door.

"Ugh. Thank God you dumped that emo. Her and her psycho friends need to get a life!" Acacia says, trying to climb back on Kian's lap.

"Get out." Kian mumbled, pushing her off.

"Excuse me?"

"I said get out!" he said louder this time.

She stomped out the door.

Which I find impossible considering she's wearing 10 inch heals.

Kian looked at me with sad eyes.

But I was too pissed to care. To think I looked up to him.

"Taylor I-"

"Save it Kian! Don't you dare try and pull some crap like 'She came onto me' because you I know damn well that if you were really bothered by it you would have pushed her off! Bitch weighs 95 pounds for goodness sake!"

I ran up to my room and locked the door. What to do, what to do.

Then I got out my song book and started writing.

Since the day we first met

You said you'd never

Leave me

I should've know it was all a lie

When you started sneakin out

At midniiiiiiight

*chorus*

I'm falling apart but you don't see me

You're breaking my heart

But you don't feel it

Nothing's gonna change

As long as you remain

Cold hearted

Cold-cold-cold cold hearted (x3)

*end of chorus*

My mamma warned me about

Guys like you

the ones who take a girls heart and tear it in

Twooooo

So now

*repeat chorus*

I should've known this day would come

Where I'd have to bring myself to tell you

So looooooooooong

*sing softly*

I'm falling apart

And you don't see me

You're breaking my heart

And you don't feel it

Nothing's gonna change

As long as you remain...

Cold hearted

I look up to see Trevor standing at the door with his mouth open.

Oh well, maybe I didn't close the door.

"Tay that was amazing! Why didn't you tell us you could sing?"

"Because I can't?" I raised an eyebrow.

He gaped at me.

"You did not just say that you can't sing! You are amazing. Possibly even better than me!" Trevor said joking. He's not conceded like that.

I giggled. "Thanks Trev."
-----------

Turns out while Ricky was "looking for the mic" he was actually placing an order on the guitar I was playing.

Connor drove me to the music store, the lessons are help there.

"So your teacher is Coby, he's 17 and he's in room four. Have a fun lesson, I'll come back for you at 7 when it's over."

Well he's in a rush to get home.

I walked over to the waiting area and there was a boy standing outside of room 4. He had the same hair as Johnnie Guilbert almost.

He looked up from his phone and saw me. "Hi! You must be Taylor? Come in."

I've never met such a preppy emo kid.

He closed the door and took my guitar to tune it.

"So what kind of music do you like?"

"I like bands like My Chemical Romance, Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Green Day-"

He cut me off  "Finally a student with good music taste!"

He gives me a music notebook and a few guitar pics.

"So usually the first lesson I just sit down and get to know the student but the guy that called said you have experience?"

"Only a little. It's been a while since I've played."

"Well let's see what you remember. Can you play a G chord for me?"

I grabbed one of the pics and positioned my hands into the places for the chord.

"Good. Now can you do a C chord?"

It's been a while since I've played guitar, and stretching out your fingers to play a normal C chord is weird the first time back.

He went through all the chords, writing them down in the notebook with diagrams just in case I forgot.

The 30 minute lesson felt like 5 minutes.

"Well I'll see you again next week, same day, same time ok?"

I nod.

"Oh and here's my phone number, just in case you have any questions or need to reschedule or if you just want to talk." He smiled and wrote his number down in the back of the notebook.

I walk out of the music store and Connor is parked right in front, in Ricky's car.

"How was the lesson?" He asked as soon as I sat down.

"It was fun. I missed playing guitar."

"And do you like your teacher."

"Yes he's really nice and he had the same music taste as me and-"

"Is he cute?"

I nod.

Connor just smiles and drives home.

Awkward.
