I was on the classroom giving class to the new generation of mutants once the class was over I grabbed my satchel leaving the classroom before chatting with Hank and Logan
"Take care"Logan told me before I left the academy mounting on my motorcycle riding out heading towards my house
Once I arrived on my house I closed the door behind me locking it before placing my satchel on the work desk before I went to my bed changing into more comfortable clothes before taking a quick nap
I still dreamed of Jean losing over the Phoenix before she would kill the entire population by releasing the fire inside her
I cut my strings with her after she died and moved on to avoid ending up like Scott or Emma
Sometimes I would get messages inside my head but I would lock the voices out ignoring them
(A week later)
I was out in the rain near the forest but I received a call from my sister Psylocke but I didn't answer due to the energy flowing within me with my eyes turning red with lighting surrounding me before I felt some kind of entity before I noticed it was the Phoenix once it got inside me
"Son of a....."I muttered before he started showing me memories about Jean but I wasn't interested if she was back from the living
"She was weak Jack.....to young and naive but you can be so much better than her and the rest not longer being on the shadows"He offered me but I didn't respond and decided to teleport higher in the air above the X-Mansion
I eventually looked over the graves seeing Jean rising again before I teleported by using a thunder before appearing in the middle of the X-men shocked to see Jean back from the grave
"What are you doing here?"I asked her while the red lighting surrounded me
"Aren't you g-"She started talking but I formed a red blade
"Calm down Jack!"Psylocke told me trying to use her powers but she couldn't take the energy so she pushed back before part of the Phoenix revealed himself
"Don't need you to babysit me Braddock"I told her coldly before I removed the ring that Jean once gave me destroying it
"You kept it....."She told me making me chuckle
"You couldn't stay dead like the rest Jeanie?"I asked her bitterly showing the Phoenix aura surrounding me
"Not yo too bub"Logan told me getting his claws but I threw him away with my telekinetic force grip
"I can control it I assure you after all I'm not as naive as the first owner or as stupid for not understanding the power"I told them making them feel a little scared
Jean was hurt at my words seeing that I no longer showed any signs of sympathy towards her
"It's not safe Jack please...."Jean begged me but me and the Phoenix became one
"Who are you to say Grey?......after you almost cause major genocide on New York......"I told her bitterly
"How can we be sure you won't-"Storm started saying
"I know how to control my emotions or kill them"I told them emotionless before I turned back to normal
(One Month Later)
Jean was still trying to reconnect with me alongside my supposedly friends but I was more busy on making the students get their best out of themselves
