Lance walked into the training ground, seeing everyone wearing nothing but their regular clothes. Shiro raised an eyebrow. "I thought we said that we're training without our suits, right?" He asked.
Keith facepalmed. "Aren't you listening to anything Shiro said after our last training, Lance?" He added.
Lance stared blankly before realisation hits him. He sighed quietly. 'This is what I get when I'm not listening. Just like what Leo said.' He thought. "I'll be right back." He left to his room to change.
~Time Skip Brought To You By Lance~
When everyone is at the training ground—Lance wearing his regular clothes—, they started their training of hand-to-hand combat. Keith vs Hunk and Lance vs Pidge.
"Alright team. The winner of the two pairs will fight against each other. The winner will challenge me. Understood?" Shiro instructed and the group except Hunk nodded.
"Eh, I think we already know who's the winner between me and Keith." He said as his partner get into position.
"Hunk, focus." Keith snapped.
Lance smirked at Pidge (btw, they already know that Pidge is a girl). "Get ready to go down, little lady."
"In your dreams, Lance." Pidge scoffed, making Lance smirk wider. The other Paladins didn't know Lance's secret except Hunk, since his best friend walked inside his bedroom without knocking when he's training, and it made Hunk freak out. But he's cool with it after a bit of explanation. But if the rest of the crew do know, he'll be dead.
Keith took down Hunk in more than 30 seconds, the yellow Paladin falling face first to the ground with Keith smirking down at him. Lance and Pidge fought for like 3 minutes, the green Paladin starting to sweat. The other three are watching from the sides, surprised that Lance fought so well. Pidge is very surprised herself that Lance is blocking all of her attacks with no effort, him yawning in boredom. This caught Pidge off guard for a while and Lance took his chance by grabbing her arm and twisted it behind her, pinning her to the ground. "Do you yield?" He asked.
(Lee, do you yield?! Sorry, can't help myself)
Pidge grunted. "This isn't the 1700s, but yes. I yield." Lance grinned in victory and let go of Pidge and she massaged her arms. Keith and Shiro gaped at the blue Paladin, while Hunk is secretly smiling.
Shiro shook his head a bit before nudging Keith, which made him snap back to reality. He stood up and walked towards Lance, stopping a few feet away from him. "Get ready, Lance. Don't get too cocky."
"Oh, I won't." Lance smirked in return. But before the two started fighting, the ground started grumbling. "Uh, what's going on?"
Allura's voice suddenly boomed in the training room. "Paladins! We're under attack!"
The five Paladins ran to where Allura and Coran is, (I don't know much about Voltron 😶) "Princess, what's wrong?" Shiro asked as they ran inside.
"Unknown species are attacking our castle." Allura answered quickly. A hologram suddenly appeared in front of them, which showed an alien that looked like a brain with eyes and sharp teeth. Hunk yelped and clung onto Keith, who dropped the yellow Paladin. "Who are you and what do you what?" Allura asked with a glare.
Lance raised an eyebrow before realisation hits him. He heard of this alien before, thanks to his chats with Donnie.
~Flashback Two Months Ago~
"The Kraang?" Lance asked Donnie through video chat. Since he and his family are away from each other, Donnie managed to contact him. They used video chat to keep each other updated.
"Yeah, they are these aliens from another dimension who wanted to turn Earth into their own home, whether we like it or not." Donnie answered while fiddling with a machine he's working on. "They tried to invade New York twice. The first one is a fail but they managed to achieve their goal the second time. It lead Leo to having a coma for three months and an injured leg. Yet, we stopped them before they had a chance to rule the entire planet."
"Okay, they are dead when they do that again to Leo." Lance growled.
"Calm down, Lance. Leo's healed now, and he can start fighting again. Don't worry." Donnie assured him with a smile before his looked turned serious. "But if you encountered the Kraang in real life, be careful. They are very dangerous, like really."
"I will, Don. I'lll call you if I have some updates." Lance nodded.
"Got it, little bro. Take care." Donnie smiled and hung up.
~End Of Flashback~
Now that Lance have seen the Kraang in front of him, it made him step away. Keith noticed this action. "Lance, why are you...?"
"That's the Kraang." The blue Paladin whispered, making the others stare at him.
"The what?" Pidge asked.
"Kraang." Lance repeated. "They came from another dimension and they tried to invade Earth twice."
Kraang looked surprise before it smirked. (Is the Kraang female or male?) "Well, looks like someone knows me. Let me guess, you are Lance Hamato, correct?"
"How did you...?" Lance trailed off, too surprised to finish his sentence.
"I know your family, human. They have defeat me twice, but they won't for the third time." Kraang continued.
"Third?" Coran looked confused, same for the others except for Lance.
"But before I do achieve that mission, I will destroy Altea!" Kraang laughed maniacally as the group gasped.
"You wouldn't." Allura glared.
"It will." Lance said. "It will not stop until it gets what it needs."
"That's right, human." Kraang smirked wider. "Now, prepare to die." The hologram disappeared and Allura turned to the others.
"Paladins, form Voltron now." She said sternly and the Paladins nodded their heads. They changed to their suits and went to their lions.
When Lance got to his lion, he immediately video chatted Donnie. "Come on, pick up." Lance mumbled and after what felt like years of waiting, Donnie appeared. "Don! Finally!"
"Lance? What's going on? And why are you in your suit and lion?" Donnie has a million of questions to ask, based on what Lance had experienced.
"No time for that! We have a problem!" Lance said quickly.
"And what's that?" Donnie asked with a raised eyebrow.
"It's the Kraang! They're attacking Altea!" Lance yelled.
"The what?!" Donnie shouted and he fell off his chair with a yelp.
"Can you guys get here as fast as you can? We need help right now!" Lance keeps on yelling while controlling the lion.
Donnie stood up to be seen on the screen. "Luckily, our friend Fugitoid has a ship that I repaired after it explode on space. We'll be there when you know it."
"Thanks, Don. And hurry!" Lance hung up just as Allura's hologram appeared.
"Get ready everyone. It's time to form Voltron." She ordered. Lance sighed and hoped his brothers get to Altea fast.
