~Flashback~

In the city of New York, in a small apartment, whimpers are heard from outside a room at the fifth floor. Inside, a bat holding man is beating up a 4 year old boy, who is whimpering and crying in fear.

The man groaned. "Stop crying, you piece of shit." The boy struggled to fight back his tears. The man gritted his teeth and dragged the boy out of the room and, while covering the boy's mouth, sneaked out of the apartment and threw the boy to the ground of the alleyway.

The boy whimpered a bit, which irritated the man even more. He took out his belt, ready to strike the boy, but before he could, a hooded figure stood in front of him.

"How dare you hurt such an innocent child?" The figure asked in anger with an Asian accent.

The man scoffed. "I am his father. I could do whatever I want at him."

"That is not how you treat a child. You show no mercy towards him." The figure said.

"Enough of this!" The man grunted and took a knife from his pocket and swung it at the figure. The figure with an Asian accent glared at the man before stealing the knife and kicked the man away.

"If you ever hurt this child again, face me." The figure threatened the man. "Run and do not tell anyone about this."

The man groaned. "Fine! Keep that shit! I don't care about him anyway!" He yelled before walking back inside of the apartment.

The figure turned back to the boy. "Are you alright, child?" The boy nodded, making the figure smile. "Perhaps I should keep you, but I must show you my identity if you want to stay with me."

The boy tilts his head curiously and the figure removed the hood, revealing a man sized rat. The boy's eyes widen. "Do not worry, I will not hurt you. What is your name, young one?"

"L-Lance..." the boy answered hesitantly.

The rat smiled. "Well, Lance, I am Hamato Yoshi, but you may call me Master Splinter." He introduced. "Would you like to stay with me and my four sons?"

The boy nodded and Splinter picked him up. "I promise you, this will be a fine place for you to stay." He opened the lid that led towards the sewers and went inside, putting back the lid.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Four turtles in the age of four are playing a game until Splinter came, carrying Lance. "Father!" The turtles smiled and hugged Splinter's legs.
Splinter chuckled. "Hello, my sons."
The one with sapphire blue eyes noticed who his father is carrying. "Father, who is that?"
Splinter smiled and looked at the young boy who cuddled towards him tighter. "It is alright, Lance. They are my sons." He turned towards the four turtles who are watching them curiously. "My sons, this is Lance. I found him in an alleyway earlier."
"Hi! I'm Michelangelo! You can call me Mikey!" The one with the baby blue eyes beamed.
"I'm Leonardo. Please, call me Leo." The one with sapphire blue eyes greeted with a warm smile. Lance is guessing Leo's the oldest.
"Sup? The name's Raphael. Or Raph, if you want." The one with emerald green eyes shrugged.
"Raph, don't be rude." Leo warned. Raph just shrugged again.
"I'm Donatello, or Donnie for short." The last one with brownish red eyes smiles until he notice the cuts on Lance. "Oh gosh, what happened?"
"Leonardo, Donatello, do you know how to put on bandages?" Splinter asked his two sons and they nodded. He gestured towards the dojo. "Come with me. Raphael, Michelangelo," The said boys turned towards their father. "Please prepare a room for Lance."
"Sure thing, Sensei!" Mikey chirped.
"Come on, Mike." Raph ushered the younger turtle to their extra room, while Splinter, Leo and Donnie went to the dojo.
~*Line Cut*~
"There, all wrapped up." Donnie finished wrapping bandages around Lance's cuts. "With washing your cuts and replacing bandages, they should be healed in a couple of weeks."
"T-Thank you..." Lance stuttered as he smiled a bit.
"Are we letting Lance stay here, Father?" Leo asked curiously.
Splinter smiled. "Of course. I will not forgive myself if he is left alone at the streets."
Raph's head popped out at the door of the dojo. "The room's ready, Sensei." He announced.
"Thank you, Raphael." Splinter nodded as Leo and Donnie followed Raph out of the dojo.
"S-Splinter?" Lance's quiet voice caught his attention. "I-Is it alright to s-stay with you? I-I don't want to be a b-burden..."
Splinter smiled. "It is alright, Lance. I do not want your father to hurt you again. And you are not a burden. You can be part of the family, if you want to."
Suddenly, Lance hugged him ever so tightly, which Splinter gladly return. "Thank you..." the boy whispered.
"You are welcome." Splinter patted his head. That is Lance's favourite memory. The first time he is accepted after his mother's death.
~End Of Flashback~
Lance opened his eyes after his meditation. He kept on thinking about that memory after he joined a team to form Voltron. He missed his own father and brothers so much.
A knock on the door startled Lance a bit. "Lance? It's time for training." The team leader, Shiro, said through the door.
"Be there in a sec!" Lance yelled back before wearing his suit. He took one more look at the family picture of him, his brothers and father before leaving for training.
