My name is Oliver Jonas and I am climbing up a mountain. Why? Simply because I am curious and want to see what is at the peak. But my curiosity is slowly being replaced by fear. There have been numerous tremors and, as a result, a few landslides too. The tumbling rocks have just barely missed me a few times, a few being little more than a yard away. I find myself wondering how close they will get until they finally get me. So much is happening on this mountain in the few hours that I've been climbing. There was a stream at the base and it felt a bit warmer than it should have, considering that it was most likely glacier water. How strange.
I can feel another quake, this one more violent than the rest. They have been getting gradually stronger the higher up I go and I'm getting more anxious. I have a feeling of dread, as if something bad might happen soon...
It has been about an hour since my last entry. It's just me and my journal up here and I must admit, I'm a bit lonely up here. The tremors have gotten worse and have been lasting longer and the breaks in between are shorter. The mountain must be building up a great amount of energy. For what, though, I don't know. I don't even think I want the know. But I might just end up finding out anyway.
It's only been a half an hour and liquid fire is exploding out of the sky! No, it's probably spewing from the top of the mountain. It is roaring down the side now, towards me. It's consuming everything. There is simply no way for me to escape, all I can do now is stand here and accept my fate. Even though I want to, I can't run, my legs are exhausted from the long trek up. And now a slight bit of the melted fire is burning my feet, now I really can't run. It's burning my legs to the bone and I can see the giant tidal wave ready to crash down on me. This is my end.
Author's Note: This was one of my worst ones but oh well. I decided to publish it anyways for some reason. It was really weird writing this one so... Peace out I guess?
