"Took ya long enough!" James said, feet dangling over the edge of the cliff. "Oh shut up" Aj said. Claire chuckled "settle down children, you wouldn't want me to throw you over the cliff" Claire said with a smirk, obviously being sarcastic. Tho Claire was rather strong, stronger than most people in the school for that matter. "Oh you shut up too" Aj said, something just wasn't right. "Hey Aj, you ok? You're mean, meaner, today" Claire said. She has two cigarettes in her mouth, blowing smoke in Aj's face. "Ya old man giving you a hard time?" Claire suggested, inhaling, the blowing a large amount of smoke. "Yeah no shit. Ever sense he's got the promotion he's been a complete bitch!" Aj said. His father, Robert Jones, was in the military and was recently promoted to an officer.
"At least you still got a dad" Claire said. She didn't miss her father, after Dessa's passing she lost majority of her feelings, mostly sadness. She envied him. "I pity all living creatures, and the ones who say life's amazing are nothing but disgusting fools. You should envy those gone, The are in a much better place. It might be heaven, it might be hell, it might be nowhere, but anyplace is better than earth" Aj sighed. "I gotta go, my mom might start wondering where the hell I am" Aj slowly got up and walked to his car. Claire and James waved goodbye as he pulled away. Claire took out the two cigarettes, it was more than obvious she had an addiction to them. "Claire, I get you hate your mom, but, why? I mean, she gave life to you!" James said. Fortunately for him, he had a good mother.
Claire slowly faced him, a twisted expression of anger, and insanity. "She's the whole fucking reason why Dessa killed herself" she said in a low voice. "She beat up my father and sister, day after day, after day. She didn't feed us, my father was too busy to even pay us attention, 'leave me alone Claire, I have work to do, play with Dess!' He would say. Once Dessa died, my mother moved me into the basement. There, I thought myself how to build. I began stealing food, occasionally money, and my phone. She scared my father, causing him to have a heart attack die. But did the police even slightly suspect her despite the lack of information, no" Claire said, scooting closer to James. He was scared, Claire never acted like this, regardless of previous events. "Every single living thing on this earth, has done something wrong, something irreplaceable, something bad, something illegal. But do they care! No. Because they are doing what makes them happy. Now you see James" Claire stated, slightly raising her voice.
"Anybody who believes life in a blessing, is a fool. Anybody who enjoys life, is lying to themselves. And anybody who can kiss their children goodnight and say 'tomorrow will be a good day' is nothing but a LIAR" Claire said, screaming that last word. "YOUR JUST LUCKILY ENOUGH TO GET CARING PARENTS"
James laughed.
"You really think my parents care about me?" He said. "Please, they've sinned far too many time to be caring". Claire smirked. We've all sinned, perhaps just yesterday, perhaps a year ago. No matter what it was, everybody on this earth has down something bad they can't erase. "Did you really think you're parents are worse than mine? If anything they're an the same level". James wiped a tear from his eyes and put a hand on Claire's shoulder.
"We all have sins"
Ahhhh, I'm sorry it's so short this time! I'll try to make the next chapter longer
