Into the forest of firefly lights AU

Spoilers to the movie! I think UwU

You can either be person A or B. 

This tells the story of a six-year-old child (A,) who gets lost in a forest inhabited by a yamagami, or mountain spirit, as well as yōkai. They arebfound by a mask-wearing, human-like entity (B,) who informs (A) that (B) will disappear forever if they are touched by a human. (B) then leads (A) out of the forest. (A) returns to visit (B) in the forest over the next few days and they become friends despite the limitations on their interactions. Although at summer's end (A) must leave (B) to return to the city and their studies, (A) promises to return to visit (B) every summer holiday.

As the years go by, (B) hardly ages while (A) physically matures and grows closer to (B)s apparent age. Upon reaching adolescence, (A) begins to struggle with their budding romance and their uncertain future together, while (B) wishes they  could touch and hold the young Man/Woman that (A) has become. When (A) reaches high school, (B) takes them on a date to a festival in the forest hosted by the spirits. The night ends in tragedy when (B) mistakenly touches a young boy who snuck into the spirit festival, though before they disappear, (B) and (A) embrace and confess their love for one another.
