Chapter 10: Revelation

       Jack gathered the team as well as Allison, Nightstorm, and Karma in the command center. On the monitor was a projected image of agent Ben who had been reporting back the intel he gathered. "We surveyed the scene and took blood samples. Our scientists in the lab compared them with the blood of the dark Riders we fought back on Earth and it seems to check out. It's not an exact match but it definitely is the blood of a Dark Rider. Which means that body we found was that of a Dark Rider. The only problem is it seemed as though his body had been dead for at least a couple thousand years." Ben stated. Jack crossed his arms and was intrigued. "There was also an inscription on the walls that, strangely, is written in Akkadian rather than in Coptic." Ben continued.
"What does it translate to? Jack asked.
Ben began to read aloud the translation: "Here is the prison of the Forbidden One, The Cursed One, and The Great Betrayer. Whosoever disrupts the imprisonment of The Forbidden One shall shift the tides of oceans, tip the scales between light and darkness, free the wicked, and unearth the rested."

        The entire room fell silent as they took in all the information that was here. Greed had certainly been to Egypt but what good would it do Greed to kill another Dark Rider? "Who is the Great Betrayer?" Allison asked. Jack looked puzzled for a moment. "Why is that important?" Jack asked. "Because it could be the key to unraveling what Greed is planning." Allison explained. Jack understood. 

            Suddenly before anyone can say anything Luna walked into the room. "Sorry to interrupt, but we've received reports of suspicious activity in the far southern outskirts of the city." Luna told them. Nightstorm and Jack looked at each other. Maybe, just maybe, this could be their chance to capture Greed and inquire about the whereabouts of Deadbolts current location. "Pirates or Riders?" Nightstorm asked. "Riders a group of three to be exact." Luna replied. Nightstorm knew for a fact that this was most likely Greed and his followers on the move. He knew that if he was going to stop Greed and uncover information about Deadbolts whereabouts he had to act quickly. "Me and Karma will go with Inferno to check it out you both focus on gathering intel." Nightstorm instructed before he and Karma left the room.

       Nightstorm and Karma went outside to get on their motorcycles and saw Inferno waiting for them. "What's the plan?" Inferno asked. "Engage the enemy as soon as we see them." Nightstorm said before he and Karma got on their motorcycles. The three of them immediately rode off in pursuit of the threat.

       Meanwhile Kate was in the command center as Jack filled her in on the situation. "Put me through to Nightstorm I want to keep track of everything that happens. If it's Greed I want confirmation." Kate commanded. Jack nodded as he began connecting Kate to Nightstorms comm channels.

         Nightstorm, Inferno, and Karma were coming in close to the site where reports of Rider activity was originating from when Kate contacted Nightstorm. "Nightstorm, it's me Kate when you arrive I want you to report to me what you see back here." Kate told him. "Copy that, if it's Greed we'll let you know." Nightstorm replied. For some reason Nightstorm could feel that this might be Greed and something told him that he had to be stopped here and now before the situation escalates any further.
